Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans
o Work with higher Authorities on recruiting planning meetings.
o Create job descriptions.
o Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
o Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
o Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
o Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
o Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
o Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
o Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
--Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
--Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
--Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
o --Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
o Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
o Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
o Create contacts within industry.
o Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
o Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
Coordinate and Implement College Recruiting Initiatives
o Coordinate college recruiting initiatives.
o Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
o Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
o Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
Administrative Duties and Record Keeping
o Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters.
o Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
o Conduct prescreening interviews.
o Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
o Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.
o Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.
o Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite.
o Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.
o Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.
o Perform other special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
o Assemble new hire orientation binders
o Assemble personnel and benefits files (and maintain these files, and keep them up to date)
o File paperwork into confidential personnel and l benefits files
o Work with hiring managers and HR to create ‘welcome’ email announcements for new hires
o Enter data into spreadsheets or databases
o Makes copies of HR paperwork as needed
o Participate in HR team and all staff meetings
