• Manage financial aspects of IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
• Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures including those for ( security, disaster recovery, , purchasing, and service provision)
• Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology
implementations.
• Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Operational Management
• Keep current with the latest technologies.
• Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
• Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and
disciplinary actions.
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s
executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Responsible and accountable for changes affecting the IT infrastructure and that such changes take place in a controlled manner
• Implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets the existing and future business requirements
• Implement / review all IT policies & procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery and purchasing.
• Proactively support and manage the IT environment including networks, servers, desktop/laptop and operating systems
• Build strong relationships with vendors and service providers to secure and maintain high-quality infrastructure products and services.
• Manage and administer to all I/T assets, including hardware, equipment, licensing, leases, etc.
• Practice IT asset management (maintenance, inventory, and related documentation.)
• Coordinate stores opening between local IT team, local vendors, and Makro's international teams whom involved in store openings.
• Supervise & coordinate the tasks between local team IT and international teams for the roll out of Windows7 and Active Directory redesign.
• Perform the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly backup.
• Keep and maintain operating systems up to date in regard of security updates, hot fixes, and hardware upgrade in align with corporate HO.
• Develop batches and scripts for smoothing IT operations.
• To continue develop IT skills as technology changes and to enter into an agreed personal development plan with the Head of IT.
•Reporting to top management, providing most efficient solutions & ideas to deliver the optimum service.
•Advising the management on all technologies issues that may affect / enhance the business growth / shrinking.
•Manages IT projects and ensures coordination between all involved parties (internal / external).
•Develop appropriate IT policies, and ensure enforcing those policies without affecting corporate productivity.
•Analyses problems, suggests solutions and takes appropriate preventive /corrective actions.
•Prepare up estimated budget and division’s expenditures.
•Control licensing status and make proposal on new licenses acquisition.
•Develop team work spirit among the IT department’s individuals.
•Establish training plans and priorities.
•Follow up and monitor IT market.
•Maintain & manage contact with IT suppliers.
•Ensure smooth operation for the ERP, Network, servers.
•Supervise administrating retail application: installation, security, support, defining & solving technical issues with system provider.
•Managing IT support staff for LAN / WAN, HW in head office & all branches ( server, pc’s, point of sales, peripherals barcode)
•Deal with a large number of users from all company’s sites and ensure providing prompt response to their problems related to IT “ Through Help Desk “
• Assist in establishing the IT Department
• Assist in negotiations with the IT suppliers and the comparison between the diverse offers.
• Assist in connecting the Head office network with the remote store network.
• Assist from scratch in establishing and implementing the ERP system.
• Assist in establishing the cashier front line.
• Managing and administrating Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server, ISA Server, Symantec Web security server, Symantec Antivirus Server and Partly SQL Server.

• Manage and maintain IT equipment "Servers, Pocket PC, Printers, Barcode Printer, PCs, POSs, Electronic Scales, UPS”
