-Support client's overall accounting picture.
- Understand client's needs and develop the accounting system to meetthe compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with the programmers to develop the accounting software based on the governments
requirements and IFRS updates.
- Advise the clients regarding any accounting support needs
-Oversee and manage daily program-wide accounting and finance functions including timely recording of transactions, cash management, banking, payroll, receivables, and payables.
-Train and supervise finance staff in the program.
-Maintain banking relations and plan and monitor cash flow requirements to ensure smooth
implementation.
-Implement effective and efficient cash management procedures within the Erbil office; including petty
cash management and banking structure management.
-Prepare monthly reports to the Finance Director and Program staff as required, including expenditures
by cost center/project and other financial information, in a timely and accurate manner and reconcile general ledger files, account reconciliations, expenditures by cost center/project, as well as other financial
information in a timely and accurate manner.
-Prepare financial reports and other ad-hoc requirements, for review by the Finance Director.
-Continuously stay abreast with donor policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
