Abu Dhabi Plaza, $1.6 Billion mixed use commercial scheme which consists of four levels of basement car parking, a retail podium and five towers, the tallest of which will be 75 storeys comprising residential units and commercial office space.
CM for Block O and adjacent podium, a 30 Story, + 4 Basement levels, Office block, 2400m2 per level. RC from B4 to L04, and from L04 to L30 an RC corewall encompassed by composite Structural steel frame.
Addressing the many issues previous construction team had caused/encountered, the DOKA Climbing system was still incomplete -after 4 months, Tower Cranes were in the wrong position and incomplete, concrete placing methods and subsequent results not satisfactory, RC Walls and Columns were deflected, out of alignment and out of plumb, surveying and setting out procedures were not adequate, causing inefficiency and poor results. Fundamental systems and procedures were missing completely or inadequate. Resources were not adequate, organized or disciplined.
I identified the problems, introduced new methods, procedures and training, to rectify the issues and developed a clear schedule to recover the program.
