• Attended Riyadh refinery 2014 turn inspection as an API inspector, responsible for off stream inspection of Heat exchangers, Columns, Pressure vessel.
• Conduct internal, external planned & unplanned inspections on all static equipment/facilities (columns, drums, Separators, heat exchangers, Pressure vessels, flares and piping) and to compiles written reports on its findings and recommendations puts in repair recommendations to user departments
• Identify the type of corrosion/deterioration to the equipment or piping & initiate appropriate monitoring methods in consultation with Process & Corrosion Groups
• Performing various inspection activities on site and at vendor facilities during manufacture, fabrication, installation and operational testing. Verification of vendor compliance to purchase orders and specifications.
• Stage wise inspection of various type of Centrifugal pumps at vendor facility as per ASME and API requirements.
• Witnessing of stage wise inspection activities like Hydro test of pump parts, auxiliary piping, Performance test & Mechanical run test.
• To carry out final inspection and prepare release for shipment for completed pumps.
• Review of Inspection Reports, Material test certificates and applicable NDT reports as project requirement.
• Experienced in stage wise inspection of Control valves & pressures relief valve, Stage wise testing, inspecting & final release.
• Witnessing inspection of casting, Functional & performance test, seat leakage test, Diaphragm Actuator test, Hydrotest for shell & Bonnet parts, packing inspection of both control valves & PSV.
Coating Inspection
• Experience for inspection of critical coating activities like FBE, 3LPE, CWC in vendor manufacture facility, for pipeline coating and field joint coating.
• Experience in FBE application, Inspection of Surface preparation, climatic condition, application of water based/phenolic primer, monitoring the required oven temperature. Monitoring FBE powder application methods, inspection of Final DFT measurement.
• Various painting/coating, visual inspection of abrasive, grit, garnet, blasting/painting/coating by using the following measuring instruments: whirling hygrometer, dew point calculator, testex tape, surface profile gauge with disc, hypodermic needle pressure gauge, holiday detector, wet sponge pin hole detector, chloride detector SCM 400 salt tester, dolly test, peel strength gauge, hardness gauge & impact test etc.
• Familiar with Coating systems like alkyd enamel coating, aluminum pigment alkyd coating, epoxy coating, inorganic zinc primer, high build polyamide, MIO, polyurethane, epoxy mastic coating, glass flake epoxy coating, coal tar epoxy, epoxy coating inorganic zinc primer water based/solvent based and FBE Liquid coating for buried service piping, pipelines and heat shrink sleeves, tape wrapping etc.
• Familiar with stage wise inspection of external 3 layer Polyethylene coating of pipes, review of inspection reports.
• Conduct in process and final inspection of painted/coated pipe surface including platforms prior to delivery and installation at site.
To conduct Third party inspection at Vendor facility, to conduct in process inspection, expediting, monitor vendor progress as per project schedule.To do stage wise inspection as per client specification, issue Inspection release certificate, final acceptance for completed equipement. To review material test certificates, inspection documents, to conduct Pre-inspection prior to commence as per purchase order requirement.
