• All ads published in Gulf News broadsheet, Tabloid, Xpress, magazines, supplements, GN website, and Contract Publishing have undergone the scrutiny of the ad controller. To ensure that every ad has the right costing, material in right format, no objectionable text/visual, correct positioning on the page plan.
• Ensures that page plan and material deadlines are met, to facilitate the smooth functioning of the editorial and production departments. To monitor competitor publications is also a part of the job.
• Ensures that the layout of each page, with respect to ad placements strictly follows the style of the newspaper. This in effect requires both an eye for the aesthetic to be able to enhance the visual appeal of the basic layout of the page and a sense of practicability to be able to facilitate the fluidity of the pages.
• Provides administrative and direct support to our sales team which is our internal customers. Our operation is dependent and posted in SAP.
• Maintains and keeps the advertisement space and position card rates. Updates yearly advertising commitment contracts and negotiation rates.
• Processing of orders (booking advertisement release order) and generating invoices plus other documents.
• Tracks pending payments of direct advertisers or advertising agencies which are on prepayment condition.
• Inspects all documents procured to make sure that the workflow are strictly followed. Keeps and maintains all documents to be properly stored or filed for future references and for smooth search when auditing.
• Maintains month end sales generated reports through upselling and daily, weekly work reports to monitor the maximum achieved target for future improvement and forecast on profitability.

• Utilizes knowledge and system resources to walkthrough customers and verify symptoms and issues.
• Maintains and administers customer account database through system tool. Ensure required information is entered into central database pertaining to customer issues or requests.
• Increase customer awareness, promotes and sells MCI products, as well as expose customer to the product benefits and applications.
• Individual transaction management based on client agreement.
• Complete and accurate processing of transaction handled.
• Escalates technical or non-technical problems that are unable to be resolved on the spot to proper escalation channel.
• Flags up personal training requirements to immediate supervisor.
• Adheres to client’s defined processes and procedures and company policies.
• Adheres to support workflow are requirements to achieve Service Level Agreement.
• Reports to Team Leader, Assistant Supervisor, and Account Manager.
