Position Held: Assistant Resident Engineer-Civil
Role and Responsibilities: • Supervision and Inspection of Civil works such as Trench excavation with coordinates check (as per Municipality approved drawing), sand bedding for the cable, Installation of cables, Trench Backfilling, Tiles installation including final reinstatement works as per the Scope of work.
• Supervision and Inspection of Road Crossing by Open Cut and NDRC (Non-Disruptive Road Crossing) methods at the site.
• Inspection of dewatering system at the water seepage areas.
• Coordination with respective on going project consultant / Contractor for the cable route issues and concurrence.
• Coordination with Municipality for the cable route design proposal and obtaining approval.
• Inspection of Joint bays and F.O.C splicing pits and Route markers
• Inspection of safety at site as per Transco procedure and reporting to HSE officer in timely manner
• Quantity check as per the items in the BOQ
• Give site backup on technical/design issues and reporting to Resident Engineer.
• Assisting in preparing the EPC contractor for supplementary plans, sketches and drawings, necessary co-ordination during installation.
• Assistance of the Client in approval of minor details and/or modifications, which may be found necessary for, better execution of work and / or to avoid interference, if any, between different equipment and work.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety and security regulations among the contractors.
• Continuous and consistent follow up of the equipment according to the expending schedule and indication to the client the problems areas and areas of major delays within monthly expediting report.
• Preparation, arrangement and supervision of site co-ordination, weekly and monthly meetings or any other meeting as found necessary and submit minutes of these meetings to the client and all contractors concerned.
• Following up progress of work and ensuring that the Contractor submits their drawing lists, progress reports, inspection schedules, instruction and maintenance manuals, erection procedures, check lists etc.
• Advice the Contractor for any delays and for remedial action to be initiated.
• Preparation of snag list after work completion and prepare the PAC for Transco review.

Role and Responsibilities
• Project coordination with Client/contractors and various engineering departments for timely completion of Project, to supervise construction activities, progress monitoring, HSE, Quality etc.
• To supervise field erection activities and ensure safety and quality
• To carry out field inspection to ensure compliance with HSE and Quality norms
• To supervise the construction activities, final checking of as built drawings including procurement of materials
• To review and implement quality control plans and procedures
• To review and analyze contracts for conformity to company policies, procedures
• To carry out visual and dimensional inspection of fabrication activities, assembling erection and construction

Role and Responsibilities
• Responsible for cable route proposal including road crossings and coordination with municipality departments and local authorities
• Execution of stage wise civil works such as Trench exaction with Trencher, Stabilized thermal filling for the 220kV cables, coordination with cable installation team, backfilling including final reinstatement works to the satisfaction to the Client/local authorities.
• Execution of Road crossing by Open cut and HDD methods
• Installation of Precast 220kVJoint bays, Link box pits and FOC joint pits as per the approved drawing.
