• Ensure that all projects controls, specifications and requirements are met and projects to be executed with the highest standard of quality and an excellent safety record.
• Implementing, maintaining and improving of the company’s SHERQ Systems, ensuring that the company adheres to ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001 and the John Thompson System Operating Procedures.
• Revising procedures as per ISO and writing new procedures for continual improvement.
• Prepare and ensure implementation of PQPs, I & TPs and other project and company related quality documentation, targeting compliance to the international standards, and local regulations and legislations.
• Ensuring that QC Inspectors & Safety Officers comply with & implement the above mentioned procedures and code requirements (ASME, BS, EN, OSHAS & ISO, etc.).
• Ensuring awareness and implementation of company SHERQ policy and objectives.
• Plan and co-ordinate project specific Quality, Safety and NDT requirements for the company’s projects & adhere to client specifications.
• Preparation, execution and management of internal audits at the company's various sites, including audits on sub-contractors and follow up of NCRs & CARs.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans and Safety plans for all projects.
• Review and approve all quality & safety documents and company procedures.
• Responsible for external audits and maintaining ISO certification.
• Management of the document control centre & drawing office.
• Manage all welding activities, prepare welding procedures, revise welding procedures and ensure that the correct welding procedures are being used.
• Carry out welder testing and welder qualifications.
• Vendor evaluation & approval and vendor performance monitoring.
• A member of the EE committee.
