Examination & approval of execution plans, layout plans of structures and calculation notes (process and hydraulic) relative to 10 brackish-water desalination plants of the 1rst phase in the South of Tunisia: - Share1 (Total capacity: 11400 m3/d), Contractor: Metito Overseas; Share2 (Total capacity:10800m3/d), Contractor: Protecno & Share3 (Total capacity: 14000 m3/d), Contractor: Aqua Engineering/Ovivowater.

Preparing calculations notes relative to Preliminary study of seawater desalination plant (SWRO) in Grand Sfax (total capacity of 200000 m3/d) based on EPC contract.
Examination & approval of EIA relative to executing water retention dam gross capacity of 33 million m3 in the Sahel region.
Technical Consultant Advisory & Design/Study Engineer for Water Projects (Water Plants, Water Networks, Pumping Stations, Reservoirs, Mechanical and Electrical Equipments, Sanitation & Environment)
The works areas cover all areas under the management of Makkah - Taif Cities Business Unit (MTCBU), such as the Holy city of Makkah, the Pilgrimage areas (Mina, Musdalifah and Arafat), the city of Taif, Al Hada and Al Hawiya.
Updating and improvement of existing studies: collect, review and analyze existing studies (master plan, ..) drawings and contracts documents, collect all the available data (maps, drawings…) and complete the missing data; translate the required parts of these studies from Arabic to English or vice/versa; develop the final version with the required updates and improvements).
Implementation of some small and medium size studies and design works related to the improvement of Water, Wastewater and Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) assets; Study and development of the preliminary and detailed design of works for parts of system’s components that are not covered by other studies.
The review of some deliverables of the new water and wastewater Master Plan such as: The Underground water resources study including Zamzam well catchment area, Environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies, Social impact assessment (SIA) studies.
The development of the tender documents: Develop the tender documents based on detailed studies mentioned above and benefiting from existing contracts used by NWC, Develop tender documents for the procurement of consultancy services for the supervision of some projects.
The supervision of construction and installation works in Makkah - Taif Cities Business (MTCBU): supervision services for the construction and installation works for some of the projects listed above and other works as per the directions of the Employer.
-Feasibility and detailed studies of main projects of drinkable water supply & desalination programme (1rst phase: 10 projects of brackish water desalination for a total capacity of 36200 m3/d, 2nd phase: 8 projects for a total capacity of 32500 m3/d) in Southern Tunisia.
-Participation in feasibility studies of seawater desalination project in Jerba Island (total capacity of 50000 m3/d) by way of concession (BOOT).
-Participation in preliminary studies of seawater desalination project in Zaarat (total capacity of 50000 m3/d) by way of concession.
-Preparing and launching tender relative to Gabès desalination plant extension (fourth line: 8500m3/d total capacity 34000m3/d), Jerba island (capacity 5000 m3/d) and Examination of technical & financial offers.
-Preparing and launching tender and Examination of technical & financial offers relative to:
1-Technical assistance for 1rst phase of drinking-water quality improvement programme (brackish-water desalination plants capacity: 36200 m3/d).
2-Brackish-water desalination plants in the South-East of Tunisia (capacity: 11400 m3/d) and the South West of Tunisia (capacity:10800m3/d & 14000 m3/d).
3-Surface-water treatment plant (capacity: 300l/s), 05 well-water treatment plants iron removal (capacity of each unit: 50l/s).
4- Acquisition and fitting pipes and civil works.
-Examination of technical & financial offers relative to Surface-water treatment plant (capacity of 3m3/s) and wastewater treatment plant (15000m3/d) for all rejects coming from surface-water treatment plants.
-Examination & approval of realization plans relative to water treatment & desalination plants.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies of main desalination, treatment and drinkable water projects (12 EIA + 01 EE).
-Examination, Review and Approbation of EIA studies
-Survey of realization of works and running water plants.
-Technical assistance for other government partners in their desalination and potable water projects.
TECHNICAL CONSULTANT, ADVISORY IN WATER PROJECTS
(Water Desalination Plants, Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants,
Potable Water, Pumping station, Reservoirs, Sanitation & Environment).
Main Tasks:
- Team leader and quality control for asset survey relative to water/wastewater utilities and structures (BWRO & SWRO Desalination Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, Reservoirs, Mechanical and Electrical Equipments, Sanitation & Environment),
- Identification of all processes, sub-processes, equipments of water/wastewater utilities and structures,
- Collecting data with all details for sites, processes, sub-processes and equipments in Water Desalination Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, Reservoirs, Wells, ...with GPS and photos.
This work aims to facilitate to NWC the management, operation & maintenance and to plan for replacement of equipments and provide necessary spare parts.
