Meet the promoters, senior management, customers, suppliers & auditors of the prospective investee companies for a due diligence
Preparing credit appraisal notes and the financial model.
Worked extensively in the manufacturing, Microfinance space and MSME lending businesses. Exposure to fintech and services businesses as well.
Negotiation with the clients on structuring debt (interest rate, repayment structure, duration, warrants - equity kicker and processing charges) for achieving maximum IRR.
Key responsibilities included originating and executing Venture Capital mandates.
Develop and maintain associations with the High Net worth Individuals (HNI) and the management of Business Accelerators, Angel Funds and Venture Capital.

Worked on a commercial real estate deal in an extensive way by connecting with various real estate funds and IT companies.
Guiding the management on the corporate governance and the standard operating procedures like preparation of budgeted Profit and Loss and Balance sheet numbers on a quarterly basis.
Analysis involves evaluating the business model, risk, payback period, key financial indicators, investor IRR, industry growth, meeting the management/CFO’s/fund managers and documenting the meeting notes, making a detailed note on valuation (P/E, EV/EBITDA, P/BV, SOTP, DCF as applicable) by evaluating various companies in the same and related industry to better negotiate valuation terms. Transactions worked on include Innoventive Industries Ltd, Vivimed Labs Ltd and Renaissance Services SAOG (Oman based listed company).
Analysis of sector, company, business model, historical trends of key financial parameters, cash flows, balance sheet, peers, competitors, valuation, due diligence on the customers of investee companies, shareholder subsription agreement, term sheet.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing companies in the listed and unlisted space from a diverse range of industries in the midcap and smallcap segment.
Monitoring portfolio companies, meeting the investee company managements on a quarterly basis and tracking their competitor’s/peers performance through quarterly conference calls and other databases.
Financial model building from scratch and maintenance; updating and managing databases and marketing presentations.
Conceptualizing & devising the Information Memorandum / Private Placement Memorandum to support the fund raising process.
Co-ordinate with the top audit companies assigned to the investee companies by Kitara Capital for all the due diligence (commercial / financial / forensic / legal) work.
Preparing quarterly and monthly reports for all the investee companies on the basis of financial results and whether the projected numbers stand the test of actual business scenario.
Presenting investment opportunities to the Management Committee (MC).
Updating the MC and the board about latest developments in the investee companies by documenting a separate presentation.
Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) documentation for investments to be made in India.
Worked on an investment banking transaction for stake divestment in the Oil & Gas ancillary company, subsidiary of one of our investee companies.
Handled reverification work for background checks of new hires of the top Information Technology (IT) customers.
Following up with the process teams (education, employment, address, criminal) for the closure of background checks approaching due date for a timely closure of a report.
