• Litigate to resolution a variety of lawsuits, including commercial and civil litigation, construction, debt recovery and employment matters.
• Examine facts, applicable laws, judicial precedencies and prevailing jurisprudence opinions to determine the viability of a case and whether it is advisable to litigate or seek arbitration.
• Negotiate hundreds of settlements and draft settlement agreements to avoid court battels.
• Draft court and arbitration documents, including legal memoranda, answers, counterclaims, motions, responses to experts’ reports, notice of arbitration, deed of arbitration and statement of claims etc.
• Draft, review and negotiate diverse types of contracts.
• Draft regulations (HR regulations, etc.) for different governmental and non-governmental entities.
• Provide legal opinions in matters under Commercial Law, Construction, Civil, etc.
• Supervise team of Junior Associates
• Handle lawsuits and manage the case file, especially under civil legislations (Civil Law, Labor Law, Commercial Law, Rental Law, etc.).
• Handling Arbitration Cases before the QICCA and ICC.
• Drafting regulations (HR regulations, etc.) for different governmental and non-governmental entities.
• Draft and revise various kinds of agreements.
• Provide legal opinions in matters under Commercial Law, Construction, Civil, etc.
• Serve legal notices (warning, breach and termination, etc.) on behalf of the firm’s clients.
• Provide legal opinions to different Qatari Clubs.
In this period, I was seconded from Al Sulaiti Law Firm to QFA. My responsibilities included:
•Draft and review various kinds of contracts, make legal due diligence reports, and report/discuss any legal risks with the concerned departments.
•Provide legal advice to the QFA’s departments in their business, operations, transactions and disputes.
•Provide legal advice to clubs affiliated to QFA.
•Handle internal employment matters and claims.
•Review, amend and redraft QFA’ Statutes and Regulations.
•Draft all decisions/ circulars issued by QFA.
•Participated in preparing all documents related to the General Assemblies.
•Member of QFA Disciplinary Committee.
•Member of QFA Players’ Status Committee
