Designed and implemented the virtual database and Linux O.S architecture of the entire ERP and Reporting system as per the
company requirement, keeping into consideration factors like user friendliness, High Availability and optimal performance.
Suggested the Hardware Sizing.
 Installed, upgraded and Migrated Multiple Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c and SQL Server database and oracle client wherever applicable
with various level of complexities including installation of database over 13 separate LUNS on SAN.
 Installed and Administers Oracle 12c RAC instances
 Managed daily Replication from 11 branches to head office
 Proactively monitored around 22 database instances for any minor/major issues and resolved them, good experience in effective
liasion with Oracle Support to resolve any sophisticated issues in small time frames.
 Proactive and reactive performance tuning at all levels-O.S, Database, SQL, Application and Hardware.
 Reorganizes tablespaces online and offline, defragmented partitions at regular intervals.
 Installed, Configured and Maintains Hot Standby(DATAGUARD) as part of the Business continuity strategy
 Successfully performed 4 instances of Production DB Recovery, including a scenario wherein a downgrade of the entire
production database was required.
 Suggested the appropriate backup procedure suiting Company environment so as to achieve a lower RTO in the unlikely event of
a database crash.
 Administered and maintained backups of a multitude of database and file system using Veritas Netbackup and DataProtector and
perform backup health validation exercises.
 Actively participate and contribute efforts towards issue resolutions for tasks to be performed within the virtual environment like
joining Virtual Linux Machines to domain, integrating with active directory, determine root cause by analysis of VM failure etc.
 Undertook the entire system Administration tasks for Redhat Linux Operating System including SAMBA, FTP and VNC.
 Knowledge of many activities on VMWARE environment like creating VM, Cloning, moving machines using vmotion,
establishing network connectivity, suggesting appropriate usage of the Virtual environment, etc.
 Manage basic Administration of multiple COGNOS Business Intelligence servers
 Installed, configured and administered Likewise/Centrify to enable Linux Servers to be joined to the Domain so users can directly
get authenticated from domain.
 Administers and Manages AEOS Nedap Application for access control and migrated data from Oracle to SQL Server Database.
