Project:
Bujairi Car Park for Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), the project is a multi-story car park comprising 1, 500 parking spaces and access tunnel. WSP role is Lead Design & Supervision Consultancy.
Job Description:
-Review and verify for accuracy documents submittals by contractor issued for construction such as shop drawings, calculations reports, method statements, ITPs, checklists, and materials submittals.
-Review calculation reports such as fire hydraulic calculations, NOVEC 1230 calculations, ventilation, cooling and heat load reports, domestic water and drainage reports, etc.
-Conduct daily inspections of ongoing site activities, inspection of delivered materials, and testing and commissioning of all mechanical equipment.
-Attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure equipment is manufactured to standards and project specifications.
-Follow up with all disciplines for coordinating site issues and proposing technical solutions.
-Participate in meetings with Client, PMC and contractors for work coordination progress and technical guidance.
-Review contractor redlines and as-built drawings for accuracy and reflecting in detail all changes as site conditions.
-Prepare defects snag lists for close out of the project and review handover completion documents such as as-builts, O&M, warranties, and spare parts.
Projects:
KAP4 Program (King Abdullah Project for Developing the Security Location- 4th Stage, Directorates and Headquarters of Security Sector, Dormitories and Sport Training Center). PROGER role is Design Review, PMC, and Construction Supervision. I was involved in 3 Projects of this Program:
1. General Forces Dormitories. Project amount: SAR 185 million
The project consists of ten residential buildings. Each building contains 20 housing units with a total of 200 units. In addition to security gate, infrastructure, gardens, power substations and mosque.
2. Directorate of Civil Defense. Project amount: SAR 667 million
The complex includes administration buildings, security buildings, central warehouses, petrol stations, auditorium halls, clinics, mosques, power substations, water tanks, watchtowers, and other types of buildings and facilities as well as site development, infrastructure, and utilities.
3. Training Sports Center in Al Khobar. Project amount: SAR 153 million
The Project consist of offices, football field, swimming pool with sauna and steam room, bowling lane, lecture hall, fitness hall, dining areas and multi-purpose hall, as well as site development, infrastructure, and utilities.
Job Description:
-Supervised on daily basis work inspection requests of all mechanical systems (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing).
-Checked materials supplied to the site and ensured their compliance with approved materials and specifications.
-Witnessed testing and commissioning of mechanical units such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Pumps, STP, elevators, NOVEC, airflow and cooling balancing as per T&C checklist.
-Reviewed for approval the contractor's issued for construction shop drawings, coordination drawings, technical proposals, material submittals for accuracy and in compliance with tender drawings, Project specs, and client requirements.
-Prepared weekly and monthly progress reports and monitored site progress against contractor time schedule.
-Attend weekly coordination and progress meetings, taking and issuing minutes of meetings.
-Verified and revised contractor's monthly quantity take-off for the interim payment statements. And prepared BOQ cost breakdown for lump sum items.
-Report quality defects non-compliance and suggest solutions to any difficulties that may occur on the site.
-Maintained records for snag lists, red lines, progress photos.
-Supervised inspection requests of electrical systems (low voltage and low current) in compliance with approved shop drawings and project specifications.
-Inspect site delivered materials.
-Prepared weekly and monthly progress reports for electrical site activities.
-Verified the contractor's monthly MEP installation quantities for the interim payment certificate.
Project:
(Saudi Electricity Co. Project), construction of 380/230kV electrical substation. NCC role was the main contractor.
Job Description:
- Managed mechanical site manpower and coordinated with subcontractors and vendors.
- Planned material supply requests, follow-up with the procurement and suppliers tracking.
- Monitored performance work according to QA/QC assessment charts and checklists.
- Diagnosed equipment malfunction faults using instrument testing tools.
- Verified and recorded routine and preventive maintenance performed as per schedule and standard requirements.
