While working as a Brand Manager my main responsibilities are as follows,

 To achieve or exceed the sales objective in the Business Plan through periodic brand performance review and taking practical and appropriate actions (e.g. Trading Calendar, training, merchandising, advertising etc.) in compliance with Brand standards to ensure the desired results are achieved.
 Organizing the implementation of the visual merchandising and marketing guidelines and standards in line with the Brand Partner policies and standards.
 To ensure the effectiveness and improvement of the stores operating cost through monitoring of changes in expenditures and discrepancies and through communication on the efficient use of resources.
 Organize the design, modification, refurbishment or closure of stores in accordance with the Brand Development plans and standards.
 I am also responsible for manpower planning and management of stores and its staff in order to achieve work environment which supports and improves store and team performance.
Implement rewards & recognition schemes (non financial) to keep the employee morale high.
 Ensuring that the brand’s Saudization level is maintained in line with Company’s Manpower Plan.

 Stock management is also one of the main responsibility, I am r esponsible for making liquidations, increments and reduction proposals by keeping close eye on sales and stock position of each product line.

While working as store operational manager, setting the new business record was my biggest achievement.

Key responsibilities were:

 Responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, by overcoming internal and external problems to achieve quantitative and qualitative targets given by Head office.
 Ensuring the maximum confidence level of Directors by reporting them day to day activities, issues like shortages, pilferage, audit report, staff attendance etc. And also by 100% implementation of the instructions given by them or by Head Office.
 Responsible for business anticipation by analyzing and sensing the market situation, and budget allocation to control and meet store’s essential expenses.
 To manage, train, career developing and best utilization of 300 plus staff including Floor managers, Department Managers, Supervisors, Cashiers, sale staff etc. was also included in my key responsibilities.
 Negotiating with suppliers (different multinational companies) to ensure minimum required level of stock and by overcoming shortages in store.
 Responsible for the implementation of loss preventing policies.
 Viewing, analyzing the store related business report and deciding time to time business activities with Directors and General Managers.

Area Manager at Bata Pakistan Limited

I have been working in same capacity for 3 big areas defined by Bata Pakistan, however lastly I was Controlling Rawalpindi area which includes stores, agencies in city of Rawat, Kahuta, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Wah Cantt, Haripur, Abbottabd, Manshera, Hassanabdal and Attock).

While working as area manager Rawalpindi my biggest achievement was massive increase in area’s profitability, reduction in no of stores and huge increase in sales. This I did by closing four non profitable stores and opening of one mega store. When I took the charge of that specific area it was on 7th number in sales wise ranking, and when I resigned it was on 3rd number from top.
Mian Responsibilities were,

 Creating and developing good, friendly, pleasant environment among the store managers and salesmen so that targets given by Head Office may achieve.
 Managing, Training and dealing with staff unions regarding transfers and development of salesmen.
 Settling the customer’s complaints and negotiating with landlords and real estate agents to fix the store rents and other matters.
 Responsible for getting customers feedback and demands and forwarding it to concerned authorities.
 Responsible for opening of new profitable stores renovation/extension of potential stores and closing of under- performing stores.
 Allocation of targets to stores as per their potential, and ensuring that targets are being achieved.
 Managing the time in a way to ensure at least twice in a month that all stores of area.
 Development of strong check system on each store by doing random audits and also on store’s expenses by confirming the vouchers.
 Responsible for having close eye on competitor’s activities and reporting it to Head office.
