• Administering Six Sits of Makro Cash & Carry LAN/WAN, securing Network services and resources such as messaging, Internet, Intranet, CISCO ASA 5500 series Firewall, CISCO Routers, Cisco VPN remote access Server/Clients, Video Conferencing using Polycom VSX7000, Polycom IP Phones.
• Daily management of Windows server file structure, directory services and user accounts in a Windows 2003 and 2008 environment for development, testing, and implementation of networked based applications in Active Directory.
• Maintenance Network/Microsoft Window platform administration like Windows Enterprise Server 2003 and 2008; Microsoft Exchange 2003, and Blackberry Enterprise Server; Enterprise Data Backup, controlling software configurations and minting; Windows 7/Office 2010, Sharepoint, and Internet services.
• Maintenance of existing Anti-Spam and anti-virus systems and the setting of new Anti-Spam policies.
• Maintaining centralized computer data centers at Makro Head Office along with remote sites; rack mounting servers, cabling and power distribution, UPS and A/C monitoring.

• Monitor servers and business systems, provide 2-tier troubleshooting and participate in research, testing and network operational acceptance of new products and services into production.
• Handle software distribution and updates, including windows server and desktop operating system security patches.
• Overseeing operational support for internal employee computer systems mostly Windows XP / Vista / Windows 7
• Project Management for major sites moves and new system implementation.
• Financial Planning, including managing the relevant IT budget and providing costing for all future developments and upgrades.
• Handling IT Support teams and resources at All Makro Stores.

• Planning, installation, management and support of network related hardware, software and / services
• Provide technical user support, training and guidance to all Makro HO/Stores Staff.
• Recommend methods to improve it services, carry out essential network updates, and ensure that internal security,
• Virus protection and backup/restore routines are followed.
• Purchasing it related goods and services on behalf of Makro Cash & Carry, including selecting and negotiating with suppliers.
• Telecommunication software and hardware support, maintain external internet services, such as browser, email systems, websites and any other services suitable for the organization.
• Manage all operational aspects and development of the internal IT infrastructure to liaise with the senior Manager IT & supervisors.
