• Primary responsibility is to prepare and review the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly consolidated financial statements with the highest level of accuracy and within the timeline including balance sheet, profit and loss account, cash flow statements, ratios, notes to financial statements and any other report or information.
• Ensure an accurate timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing.
• Coordinating in printing, proofing and publication of financial statements.
• Perform routine accounting task in the department on the day to day basis & review of monthly budget analysis.
• FX (Foreign Exchange) and Derivative balance sheet and P&L reporting.
• Liaise directly with internal, external and regulatory auditors to ensure that an annual audit is completed in time.
• Liaison directly with JCR-VIS and PACRA Credit Rating Agencies for Banks Annual Credit Rating.
• Prepare minutes of meeting of ALCO & MANCOM meetings and Facilitate in Management Letter (ML) responses.
• Review of bookings, accruals and provisioning from FRMU, Insurance, payables and accounts teams.
• Provide financial & strategic support to CFO and Financial Controller including preparing accurate, timely and relevant performance reports for the management, which also includes board meetings presentations, financial presentations, new business opportunities and other projects requested by the President & CEO.
• Perform such other accounting, financial or strategic tasks as and when required.
• Monthly production & analysis of comprehensive financial information, in respect of revenue, expenses, cost, capital, profit & loss statement, balance sheet statement and people resources, ensuring criteria’s of accuracy, relevance & timeliness are constantly adhered to. Preparing and analyzing complex financial information & management reports to provide accurate & timely financial recommendations for decision making purposes.
• Support the annual Budgeting and Planning Cycle for consumer finance, branch banking, SME and commercial business and ensuring that the monthly and quarterly management reporting, comparison of budgets & forecast Vs actual results, including consolidations and analysis are prepared accurately and on a timely basis. Co-ordinate with different business units and internal and external auditors.
• Provide financial & strategic support to the CFO, Financial Controller and Head MI & Strategic Planning, including preparing accurate, timely and relevant performance reports for the management, which includes board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, new business opportunities and other projects requested by the CFO, Head Retail Banking & CEO. This function acts as the analytical engine of the retail group to provide in-depth analysis & support ‘optimal’ business decision making.
• Devise financial models. Perform sensitivity analysis and client / product profitability analysis to facilitate strategic planning & decision making.
• Involved in the effective management of internal controls, operations and effectiveness of all processing.
• Liaison with Business, IT and Operations for re-alignment of processes, participate and support new products launch and involved in business analysis and business process re-engineering.
• Assist finance team in new systems development, new system roll out, testing & implementation.
• Finance department coordinator for Internal Audit, External Audit and Regulatory Audit.
• Review of bookings, accruals and month-end closing from cost control and other teams.
• Spearheaded capacity planning project, Branch Profitability Modeling, Daily Assets Sales Reporting and actively participated in RBS & Faysal Bank Integration & M&A Activities.
• Preparing and distributing the Daily, Monthly and Annual Product wise, Branch wise and officer wise sales performance reports with variance analysis to retail management team.
• The job requires intensive interfaces to Retail and commercial segment as well as individual business and to provide support to the business in areas like business planning, organizing, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, program and initiative evaluation. Also, close coordination with the regional Retail finance team for the Retail Asia finance related activities within the country.
• Responsible for providing strategic and financial performance reporting to the domestic businesses and into regional processes and prepare insightful commentary for use in the Executive Committee reporting pack.
• Involved in the preparation of the annual budgeting process and the rolling forecast exercises ensuring appropriate validation of all financial projections against supportable underlying assumptions.
• Monthly production and analysis of comprehensive financial information, in respect of revenue, expenses, P&L and balance sheet, ensuring criteria’s of accuracy, relevance, and timeliness are constantly adhered to.
• Monthly Asia Regional finance office reporting with different growth tends, delinquency analysis, Profit projections, Product wise Portfolio Rates, Spreads & MOR’s analysis (w.r.t trends & future forecasts).
• Preparation & timely submission of daily, weekly & monthly reports and ad-hoc MIS’s to Retail management team.
• Risk Management, Portfolio Management and Branch wise profitability reporting.
• Transfer pricing assessment and projections for different secured and unsecured products.
• Cost analysis along with breakup of direct cost, Managed cost & other regional/global allocations.
• Actively participated in ABN AMRO & RBS Integration and M&A Activities.
• Network to develop business relations, promote the sale of loan and Deposits, investment and other banking services and ensure the institution's policies and procedures are followed according to established guidelines.
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of department providing administrative services.
• Direct and advise staff engaged in providing records management, security, finance, purchasing, human resources, maintenance of physical assets and office, Plan, administer and control Finances for contracts.
I am CIMA Advance Diploma Management Accountant, studying towards achieving ACMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant) and FCMA (Fellow Chartered Management Accountant). Secured 1st position in Pakistan & 5th globally in Level-2. Currently studying Final Level 3 - Strategic Level.
