JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work with construction/maintenance teams to increase safety awareness and improve safety practices.
- Ensure strict adherence of safety guidelines by employees.
- Conduct hazard analysis/risk assessment and submit to the HSE manager.
- Ensure employee working under his designated area will get safety induction and PPE.
- Ensure proper investigation and reporting of incidents.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuously improve and upgrade employees and self.
- Initiate immediate stoppage of any operation that could cause death, injury or extensive damage to property and notifying all concerned especially supervisor and workers for immediate corrective measures to eliminate the hazard.
- An ability to communicate with all nationalities and at all levels.
- Inspection of work sites regularly, guide workforce correctly, eliminate unsafe acts & unsafe conditions related to HSE
- Inspection & monitoring of permit to work system for hot works, confined space entry, spray painting, overhead\under ground cables & facilities, working at height, scaffolding erection\dismantling, fire extinguishers, vehicles, earthing equipments, cranes etc.
- Inspection, identification & assessment of hazards and render control measures.
- Implementation & monitoring emergency response procedures in camps, work sites & industrial areas through mock drills.
- Implementation & inspection of various precautions for welding\cutting\grinding various machinary tools and advise for any damaged tools replacement or correction.
- Implementation of waste management procedures to prevent environmental pollution.
- Inspection & follow up of the lifting appliances & equipments as per safety standards.
- Training to workers & supervisors in good housekeeping, safe use of hand & power tools, safe welding\cutting & safety in handling of fire extinguishers\fire hydrants, heat stress & dehydration, lockout & tagout procedure, flagman & banksman training, working in live road, chemical safety, bar bending & steel cutting, excavation, erection & dismantling etc.
- Implementation of HSE plan, risk assessment & method statement before starting activities.
- Conducting and attending weekly, monthly HSE Meetings.
- Conducting HSE communication & promotional activities such as HSE related audio\videos, safety circulars, safety alerts, safety letters etc. And also conducting safety competitions, quiz, tests, best awards\incentives, rewards and suggestions.
- Conducting drills\exercises, the kind of emergency action in case of accidents\incidents\fire.
- Giving first aid at the site and proceed to the first aid dept.

The project works involved civil constructions, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, AC ducts with insulations, chilled water pipes, fire fighting works, cable tray fixings, glass works, interior decorative works sealing etc.

 Manages, directs, coordinates, and implements environmental, health and safety initiatives and actively participates in the resolution of issues relating to the HSE.
 Conduct inspections and advise on enforcement and adherence to laws, regulations, or employer policies governing worker health and safety.
 Keeping the Project management informed of the status of Health, Safety efforts and advising the project management team as to the requirements.
 For corrective action or measures necessary to carry out implementation of HSE policy to its fullest extent.
 Conducting and participating in project safety meetings.
 Advise on emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment, and incident reporting to the relevant authorities.
 Conduct meeting and training sessions for supervisors, and workers on health and safety practices and regulations, as necessary.
 To ensure appropriate timely investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents including identification of immediate and underlying causes, actions to prevent recurrence and a robust defense of claims.
 Preparing emergency evacuation/ rescue plans & procedures with periodic mock drills.
 Ensure proper recordkeeping is being conducted at all facilities \[weekly, monthly HSE reports etc...\]

 All types of office and site work of a safety officer in construction site.

 Ensuring project compliance to HSE regulatory requirements.
 Ensuring an accurate, timely and responsive HSE services are provided as per the IMS policy.


 Maintain safety records and statistics (weekly, monthly and annually).
 Preparation of HSE manual and project safety plan.
 Assisting for Internal audit.
 Prepare risk assessment
 Ensure work has been carried out as per the precautions of risk assessment and the method statement.
 Approval of work permit after making sure that all
necessary safety precautions are taken.
 Giving site safety induction.
 Provide training to super visors about correct method of tool box talk.
 Maintain high standard of house keeping.
 Conduct fire and rescue emergency drill.
 Conduct various safety trainings for engineers, supervisors, labors etc.
 Arrange third party inspections.
 Make sure all employees are wearing correct ppes.
 Accident, incident investigation and reporting.
 Planning and taking necessary measures to protect environmental pollution.
 Giving first aid treatment and sending to the hospital.
