Planning, monitoring, coordinating and controlling of project mobilization activities as per schedule.
Managing the construction of the project in accordance with the contract in the most efficient and profitable manner, taking particular care of client requirements and companies’, sub-contractors’ and suppliers’ interest. Furthermore responsible for leading the site staff to form a cohesive unit committed common goal.
Ensuring all necessary permits and clients approvals as per site specific documents are obtained.
Reviewing and approving the PQP, project procedures and ITPs to ensure diligent implementation on site.
Oversees maximisation of efficient construction work, performing effective cost control.
Responsible for ensuing that statutory health and safety regulations are observed at all times and that safety on site is maintained at high standard.
Reviews contract document requirements in detail. Furthermore prepares and reviews the Master Plan in liaison with the Planning Engineer and major subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring approval where required.
Analysing contract documents to define requirements and objectives, assess construction methods and contractual obligation and establish project lines of communication.
Reviewing resource schedules to ensure that adequate labour and plant is available to maintain the construction schedule.
Managing and controlling changes and revisions to contract documents, ensuring that scope of works are distributed to concerned personnel and determining which change is requiring variation order.
Reviewing, identifying and calculating all the impacts of issued VOS with respect to technical, commercial and time aspects in coordination with the site Quantity Surveyor prior to submission/distribution.
Formulating Project Plan for achieving the stated objectives within budget, construction programme, performance and quality.
Liaising and setting up lines external and internal communication with Client Representative, Design Team, Project Managers and Client.
Contributing to pre-qualifying, capability assessment, technical review of materials and subcontractor selection.
Responsible for organising, supervising and directing all Project functions in accordance with the requirements of the Project Execution Plan.
Arranging and coordinating with Procurement for delivery, expediting and controlling all required materials, equipment and services - including those supplied by the specialist subcontractor.
Maintaining and monitoring Project Resources for effective and efficient control of performance and productivity, measuring the utilisation of resources and productivity to ensure it does not exceed the planned budget.
Chairing and leading Weekly Site Progress Meeting to review project status.
Monitoring and controlling variations to project scope, ensuring that no changes are acted upon unless approved as required by the contract.
Safeguarding the Company’s interests by understanding the General and Particular Condition of contracts.
Preparing monthly payment claims and Final Payment Claims, submitting to Project Controls Manager for review.
Ensuring that all plant equipment used on site is maintained in good order to prevent failures and operates in a safe manner to avoid delays in the work progress and protect against injury to personnel.
Planning, forecasting and controlling project expenditure, petty cash and preliminary related items.
Coordinating systems commissioning setup, establishing the required plans in coordination with Project QA/QC Engineer.
