QEZ 3 Um Alhoul, will be implanted in the port city of Al Waqrah, south of Doha. Extending over an area of 27 sq.km, Um Alhoul will bring together a number of activities related to metallurgy, petrochemicals, construction materials, logistics and marine industries, also benefitting from sea access thanks to a dedicated canal. Includes 103 km of roads, 1500 plots and a construction budget of more than $3B.
Over a period of 7 years, Egis team tasked with auditing the master plan designs already drawn up, delivering detailed plans, carrying out specific design studies (from conceptual to preliminary design phase for buildings and water cooling and treatment plants), supervision of construction works and PMCM services.

▪ Coordinated design offices, ensuring timely delivery and acceptance of the design by the client
(Ministry of Public Works); achieved savings of up to €5M utilizing Value Engineering techniques.

Employer, also conducted tender documents auditing (inclusive of BoQ, SCC, and GCC). Ensured
conformance to technical specifications and the environmental terms through quality procedures and
application of Conditions for civil works contracts (FIDIC) during construction. Provided contracting
authority with support and assistance for managing project. Supported communication with governmental
and local administrations as well as other third parties during execution of contracts to secure
authorisations. Monitored progress and performance of contractors/sub-contractors.

▪ Evaluated the execution of contracts as per financial and technical requirements.
▪ Performed thorough audit of the existing designs and tender documents, eliminating any
discrepancy from the requirements and the FIDIC conditions of contract.
