•Manage the combination of the warehouse facilities, Operational management, client satisfaction through an established logistic team.
•Planning, budgeting & development of the physical resources.
•Monitoring the quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
•Supervising and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems.
•Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
•Negotiating freight Rates with shipping lines or with freight forwarders for export consignments.
•Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers
•Supervising the delivery optimization and efficiency of distribution routes, human resources, cost and on-time delivery and coordination of in-bound and out-bound movements of stock
•Organising and chairing staff meetings, arranging minutes and agendas.
•Overseeing the recruitment and training of new staff, carrying out appraisals and disciplinary procedures, organising rotas and staff schedules, arranging for cover and temporary workers
•Delegating staff workload and output, providing opportunities for staff development and training.
•Managing the office budget, handling expenses claims and expenditure and petty cash.
•Preparing reports and delivering presentations, involvement in strategic decisions on company level
•Ensuring that files are billed out in a timely manner.
•Complete and independent handling of projects from start to finish and team management of a team of 2 people. Duties included;
•Project Coordinating for Transportation of materials into Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen and various other countries
•Coordinating with all corresponding International Offices to ensure smooth passage of freight.
•Preparation of reports and financial statements concerning my projects especially in Oil & Gas sector.
•Planning, Control, Implementation the flow of equipments & shipments from origin to the final destination for various projects.
•Ensuring the clients are updated on the progress of their shipments.
•Freight logistics for all modes of transportation i.e. Sea, Air and overland.
•Interfacing with buyers for price / terms of delivery negotiation for cost effective procurement
•Ensuring that files are billed out in a timely manner and payments are collected from the respective parties
•Ensuring that all my team members are doing the duties assigned to them in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
Logistic, Distribution and Warehousing (Third party warehouses located in Jebel Ali FZE and our own warehouse).
• Coordinating with Marketing Team for Purchases and Sales.
•Communicating directly with Suppliers and the Customers.
•To ensure customer satisfaction on behalf of the Sales.
•Follow up with suppliers and clients regularly. - After Sales Support.
•Inventory Reports, Requirements, Insurance and Costing.
•Coordinating with Finance Department for the Payment’s to Suppliers, Receipts from the customers, LC’s and negotiating documents etc.
•Liasing with shipping lines and forwarders for better rates. (Storage, Handling, Ocean/Air Freight and other shipping related charges).
•Managing team of people within our w/h to ensure smooth movement of inventory within the specified time and simultaneously coordinating with third party warehouses.
•Estimation, Quotation Preparation, Closing deal with customer for spares.
•Co-ordination at different levels between Sales, Suppliers & Support depts.
•Getting quotations for Spares from different overseas suppliers.
•Purchasing various types of Spare Parts for different machines from overseas market.
•Good knowledge of Imports & Export procedures, handling documentation of LC’s & Preparation of Bank documents.
•Negotiations in price factors & comparing quotation from freight forwarders.
•Arranging the mode of shipment (by Air & Sea) according to the terms FOB, Ex-Works, CIF, C&F etc.
