YAMAL LNG Project, Russia.

Was on deputation from FICHTNER to TECHNIP for YAMAL LNG. Was involved in the design of pipe racks and also their Transportation and LIfting Analysis.


• RAS-AL KHAIR Power & Desalination Plant (SWCC -> POYRY -> ACC/CCC -> FICHTNER) - A Combined Cycle Power (2400 MW, net power out) & Desalination Plant (1025 Tm3/d water production) located in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. Fichtner scope of work was in the Power plant package. Was involved in the design and review of the following structures
o GTG & STG Building - Foundations
o Black Start Diesel Generator Room
o Fuel Oil Storage Tanks (Ring Beam) Design & Dyke Wall
o Pipe racks (Design Review from Vendor & Preparation of Technical Specification for the vendor)
o Feed Water Structure
o Fuel Oil Pump House & Forwarding pump house
o 380 kV & MV Cable Corridor Layout & Design

• Corporate Ispat Alloys Ltd. (CIAL) (ABHIJEET -> FICHTNER -> SHRIRAM EPC -> ENER-T) - A 1x 50 MW Solar Thermal Power Plant located in Rajasthan. Was involved in the review of design and architectural drawings of the following structures
o Design Calculation for Solar Field Headers
o Design Calculation for Cooling Tower
o Admin Building
o HTF MCC Room
o Cooling Tower MCC Room
o Steam Generator & Preheater Vessel Foundations

• GVK Power (GVK -> PUNJ LLOYD -> FICHTNER) - A coal power plant for GVK which is a 2x270 MW Power plant located in Punjab. Was involved in the design and review of the following structures
o Fuel Oil Pump House
o Cooling Water Switch Gear &
o Chlorination Building.
o Foundation for DM Plant.
o Pipe Racks

• SDSTPS (APPDCL -> DESEIN -> TPL -> FICHTNER) - It is a 2 x 800MW coal based Supercritical Thermal Power Station near Krishnapatnam in Nellore District, which is about 150 Kms North of Chennai. Was involved in the design and review of
o Ware House for Storage of Hazardous Chemicals.
o Water treatment plant, which consisted of Flocculating Tank, Tube Settler, Stilling Chamber, Parshall Flume & Flash Mixer Tank.
o Ash Slurry & Water Pump House with Pipe Rack
o Fuel Oil Pump House
o Electro Chlorination Building
o Crusher House Building of Coal Handling Plant.
o Pipe Racks

• Kakathiya Thermal Plant (APGENCO -> DESEIN -> TSL -> FICHTNER) - A thermal power plant for Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Company Ltd. (APGENCO) It is a 1x600 MW Thermal Power plant (Stage - II, Unit - II) located in Andhra Pradesh. Was involved in the design and review of the following structures
o Turbine Generator Building (Column Design was carried out using a program which was created in FOTRAN by Fichtner. Static and Dynamic Analysis of Building.)
o ESP Control Room Building
o Cooling Water Pit for PH Bldg.
o Mill & Bunker (Design & Analysis Review)
o Primary Air (P.A.) & Forced Draft (F.D.) Fan Foundation (Using Barkan’s Method)

• Korba West Thermal Power Plant (DCPL -> TSL -> FICHTNER) - A thermal power plant for Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd. which is a 1x500 MW Thermal Power plant. Was involved in the design and review of the following structures
o Raw Water Intake Structure
o Pipe Racks

• NPCIL (NPCIL -> PUNJ LLOYD -> FICHTNER) - The Kakrapara Atomic Power Plant (KAPP), is implementing the 2 X 700MW Units 3 & 4, with Steam Driven Turbo Generators. The process was involved in the Pre - Bid Stage, in which PUNJ LLOYD is the BOTIP (Balance Of Turbine Island Package) Owner and Fichtner being their consultants. Was involved in the basic design and quantity estimate for the CCW Tunnels, Drain & Pipe Trenches.

Worked as a Civil Design Engineer. Following were the projects and buildings I was involved in

• Kuwait Oil Company (KOC -> SAIPEM -> EPT & ECONS) - The design was for KOC’s New Booster Station (Unit BS-171) in West Kuwait. The design was carried out in accordance with BS Standards and footing design was carried out using MAT 3D. Was involved in the design of
o Main Control Room Building.
o Local Control Room Building

• Maharashtra Power Plant (BGR Energy Systems -> EPT Engg & ECONS) - The Power plant for Maharashtra State was designed with EPT Engg Ltd by ECONS. It is a 2X500 MW plant located at Chandrapur (Units 8&9). Was involved in the design and review of
o Raft Foundation for the Wagon Tippler
o Design of Hoppers, Frames, Pedestals & Columns to support the Conveyer’s and Hoppers.
o Roof Shed
o Track supporting Beams and pedestals.

• NSL Sugars (NSL -> Cogent Engg’s -> ECONS) - The design of a 28TPH boiler plant was designed. The plant is located in Mundaya district in Karnataka.
o The Column, Beam & Slab for the Boiler was designed.

• Krishnaveni Sugars (Krishnaveni Sugars -> ECONS)- Design of roof truss for a Coal Shed of Size 25 x 96 m. The shed was designed in such a way to accompany a 3.5 m width of opening along the middle of the truss to provide passage for conveyer belt.

• Design of 32 Thickener (All India Minerals Ltd. -> Blackstone Group -> ECONS) - The column design for a 32  thickhe ener. The foundation forces where obtained from the STAAD File given by the Client using which the foundation for the Thickener was designed. The innermost ring of the Thickener alone is a circular footing.

Was involved in coordination between shop and site, review of shop drawings & co-ordinator of the engineering department.

PROJECTS SUMMARY AT YOUNG HWA STEEL CO FZ-LLC:
• Al Shuweihat S2 - IWPP, for S2 Ruwais Power Company - Directly involved in 6500 tonnage project which also includes contractors from Samsung, Fichtner, Kopec and Doosan.
• QAFCO for Qatar Fertilizer Co. - Design engineer for this project with approximate tonnage of the project about 750. The joint project also involves team from Hyundai E&C Co, Seobon and Saipem
• Jebel Ali M Station for Dubai Electricity & Water Authority with Doosan as contractor.
• Public mosque for New Doha International Airport - Involved with preliminary design of the project with CDC-Takenakajv and Alfasi as contractors
• Green Diesel Project, Abu Dhabi - Involved with the preparation of shop drawing for embedded plated and beams. Also took in charge the complete production schedule from placing purchase order for materials and trucks for galvanizing and final delivery. Also prepared the final invoice for the project. The entire project was completed in a week’s time.

Worked as a site engineer for Sivalaya Constructions in their residential building project.
