Objective:

The role is to develop, coach and implement required EHS & Sustainability systems & challenges for efficient business continuity in light of evolving EHS & Sustainability measures in the apparel & textile industry across the globe.
Develop and execute sustainability and environmental projects like ensuring environmental friendly waste disposal, Zero Waste to Landfill, Carbon/Waste/Utility Reduction and ensure a positive social and environmental impact

Responsibilities/Duties

•To lead on the formulation and implementation of sustainability strategies and policies for US Group
•Cultivate a sustainability and environmental mindset in the organization
•Formulate EHS Management system within the organization with an aim to improve social compliance
•To lead the development and operation of the US Group environmental management systems including setting standards
•Develop partnerships and relationships with relevant organisations.
•Ensure USG is compliant with environmental legislation and achieve environmental sustainability targets through innovations and operations improvement
•Advice line management on safety and environmental matters in light of customers and legal requirements
•Develop annual HSE targets for the organization and create awareness amongst the on-ground project/operations team
•Plan and conduct management audits to ensure compliance of EHS & Sustainability challenges
•Ensure execution of line management training on EHS management systems
•Monitor, track & achieve Sustainability challenges within the organization
•Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
•Ensure effective close-out of internal & external audits/ reviews/ studies etc.

To establish and manage a robust HSSE Management system in Drilling & Well Completion Operations in line with UEP HSE Policies, Philosophies, Standards, Procedures and Protocols and ensure all UEP Group HSE targets, objectives and key milestones are achieved

•Manage the HSE activities in Plant Operations while ensuring HSE integration in each task performed at both Sawan field.
•Accountable to develop, implement and monitor Integrated HSE Business plans for in line with the HSSE scorecards, milestones, KPI, plans
•Influence the D&C teams to fulfill the HSE responsibilities and accountability by proposing personal performance targets in line with the Business Unit HSSE plan
•Accountable for establishing, maintaining and testing an effective Emergency Management System Rig locations
•Solve risk problems for decision making for line managers by performing quantitative and qualitative Risk Assessment up to ALARP justification.
•Accountable to ensure that lessons from Group wide incidents are learnt by the plant Operations to prevent likewise losses.
•Responsible for ensuring effective contractor HSE Management to bring them at par with company's standards
•Lead/participate in the investigations of HSE incidents and accidents
•Plan, lead and conduct internal HSE audits and facilitate external HSE audits
•Lead, monitor and advise in the implementation of Environmental Management System
•Support Operations & Maintenance function on technical integrity aspect during operations i.e. Integrity Management of safety critical elements
•Lead, and facilitate HSE trainings, reporting, trend analysis and action close out
•Liaison and coordinate with Regulatory Authorities. Monitor the compliance of local and regional HSE Regulations and other Legal requirement.

• Develop and update HSSE manual for Engineering projects and provide quality professional advice
• Advice line management on safety and environmental matters to clear uncertainties
• Assist the on-ground project team in implementing, monitoring, and review of annual HSE objectives and plans
• Prepare & ensure execution of project specific HSSE plans
• Plan and conduct audits to ensure compliance of the above
• Plan and conduct training of site construction team and contractors on HSSE systems and procedures
• Contributed in pre-qualification of contractors and in specifying the HSSE requirements for contractors
• Review and approve contractor’s method statement and JSA’s, including prequalification of contractors by visiting there on-going work sites for detailed understanding of their practical HSSE approach.
• Participate in projects specialist risk studies on need basis e.g. HSSE case, HAZOP’s, HAZID’s, PHSSER’s and follow-up on implementation of recommendations in order to monitor and maintain risk levels to ALARP
• Prepare close-out reports of audits/ reviews/ studies etc.
• Ensure that an effective HSSE system is implemented
• Achieve internal and corporate HSSE targets for projects

Responsibilities/Duties

• Responsible for maintaining HSE standard throughout the construction of exploratory well sites according to BHP HSE rules, regulations and standards.
• Built a team approach to maintain compliance while enhancing HSE efforts on-site and oversee activities of safety officers supervisors.
• Provided advice on accident prevention and required training programs for work force.
• Performed site surveys, worked in progress reviews to ensure continuous enhancement in the health and safety programs.
• Stayed up-to-date on the Contractor HSE training Matrix.
• Carried out vehicle compliance check and ensured Contractor vehicles are timely maintained.

• Fully aware with the manufacturing of H2SO4 (DCDA and SINGLE ABSORPTION technique), SSP ( single super phosphate), zinc sulphate,
• Well equipped with the line tracing and protocols followed to keep the H2SO4 plant running under all hardship conditions and failures.
• Trouble-shooting and regular maintenance of the plant is one of the salient features I performed on multiple occasions.
• In complete knowledge of the HSE procedures to be followed in a high risk sulfur and its byproducts environment. This is also an asset to my knowledge.
• learning and at the same time following procedures for the installation and laying out of the infrastructure of a new acid, SSP, Zinc Sulphate producing plant of a high capacity and new technology.
• Learned a lot to act as a proactive person in resolving small issues occurring at the plant by managing the given man power within the given time frame.
• Huge quantity of labor management during the shift hours has been an eye opener in how to manage team work including foreman’s, supervisors, operators etc etc.

• Well-Equipped with the amine and glycol treatment of natural gas.
• In knowledge of the complete line tracing of gas processing plant and the processes involved.
• Remained committed to HSE policy throughout the two month tenure.
• Performed Plant startups on multiple occasions and learned a lot of the problems faced and how they are resolved under immense pressure.
• Was responsible for the daily computer logging of the events at site due to high command over computer software’s.
