Design:
- To study client’s specifications & data sheets for developing /assisting the basic mechanical design for the proposal management.
- To help the drafting team in drafting all pressure parts, non-pressure parts and structure drawings and then verify their compliance with the Codes and/or Standards.
- To ensure that design is executed in accordance with the sequence of Quality Control System.
- To ensures that Drawings/ Data are stored securely in appropriate location.
- To perform calculations for Coded/Non-coded pressure vessel projects.
- To design pressure vessels with softwares like COMPRESS & PV-Elite.
- Responsible to feedback the client on quries.
Proposal Management
- Formation of BOQ on the basis of basic design.
- Preliminary review of ITB for Projects prior to company decision for bidding.
- Detailed study of ITB to extract scope of work.
- Inter-discipline coordination to develop project understanding.
- Review BOQs, Line lists, equipment lists etc.
- Liaison with client for pre-bid & post bid clarifications.
- Prepare RFQs for equipment and materials required for the project.
- Floating of inquiries to vendors and Liaison with vendors regarding technical issues on RFQs.
- Preparation of comparative statements (CS) for checking of viability on technical and commercial basis.
- Calculation of man-hours, consumables and special cost for the the given project.
- Estimation the cost of the project on the basis of BOQ, hour and labor and other costs involved.
- Preparation of techno-commercial proposals.
Quality, Health, Safety & Envoirment (QHSE)
- Work as a team leader in ASME certification audit for “U” Stamp, “S”Stamp & the National Board “R” Stamp.
- Work as a team leader in audit for certifications ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 from Bureau Veritas.
- Responsible for all the quality assurance & quality control related activites in workshop and site works.
Bulk Storage Tanks:
- To study contract & specifications for developing /assisting Tank’s ITP, WPS, PQR (SMAW & SAW), MDR Index & Procedures (Material Traceablity, Consumable Control, Vacumm box Test, Hydrotesting, Hydro-Pneumatic testing etc.) for project to meet client’s requirements comprehensively.
- To ensure that all inspection & tests are carried out as per ITP, WPS/PQR, Method Statements and Procedures for different activities in Tanks area.
- To verify all inspection reports done by field inspectors and review records of MTC’s submitted by the vendors.
- To attend Weekly Quality meeting with client and liaison with client on matters related to site inspections & TOSTER documents.
- Liaison with third (3rd) party inspection agency for witnessing the inspections and test activities.
- To ensure handling, storage and maintenance of materials (in their care, custody and control) in accordance with manufacturer’s suggested procedures, relevant specifications and FSI (Flawless Startup Initiative) requirements.
- To provide assistance to Subco. for technical evaluation of subcontractors as per laid down policies in the light of assigned responsibilities.
- To conduct the Hydrostatic testing & Hydro-Pneumatic Testing of Tanks.
- Responsible for ensuring that all process non-conformities are highlighted through CARs/PARs to the Area Incharge as well as Incharge QA/QC for rectification and follow up for the timely close-out.
- To compile all quality records and to prepare MDR (Manufacturer Data Record Book) on completion of Tanks and final handover to client.
NDE:
- Radiographic film interpretation and organization of all NDE activities in Tanks as per Standard requirement.
- Establishment of a system to control the project repair rate & monitoring of Welders performance.
- Review of RT, UT, MPI, DPT, PWHT and Hardness Reports.
- Identify repairs and re-inspect with NDT after re-welding the joints.
