Duties & Responsibilities as a Senior Quantity Surveyor at UrbaCon Trading & Contracting
 Preparing monthly payment applications with all the supporting documents & attending meetings with consultants to finalize the payment applications.
 Identifying & analyzing the changes in the design & specification, preparing valuation of variation, and negotiating with the consultant.
 Coordinating with the planning department & preparation of contractual claims (EOT, Prolongation Cost and other associated cost claims).
 Preparing monthly direct and subcontract cost reports & forecasts (Cost to complete report) for management review.
 Drafting LOA, sub-contract, sub-consultancy and service agreements based on approved CBS/Quotation for commercial management review & approval.
 Drafting contractual correspondence for commercial manager review & preparing supporting documents.
 Review and understanding of the main contract documents and assisting commercial team in assessment of cost related issues & documentations.
 Preparing necessary reports as per management requirements & providing necessary details / reports to Planning and Cost Control department to prepare weekly and monthly reports.
 Maintaining all Contracts & commercial related logs (Contracts, Variation Orders, Invoices, Payments, Site Instructions, Back-charges, Insurances, Bonds & Guarantees, LC, etc.)
 Liaise with operational staff on site to ensure client’s requirements & on-time completion of the project within the allocated budget.

Duties & Responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor at UrbaCon Trading & Contracting
 Reviewing and understanding drawings & specifications, performing quantity take off & preparing bills of quantities (BOQ) for subcontract packages.
 Sending request for quotation (RFQ), receiving quotations, and preparing contractors bid summary (CBS) with budget comparison for management approval.
 Evaluating & certifying subcontractor’s payment applications, preparing payment certificates with all the supporting documents.
 Issuing site instructions for additional scope of work as per site team instruction, evaluating subcontractor’s quotations / variation requests and finalizing and issuing variation orders.
 Recording & analyzing back charge details, preparing back charge notifications to sub-contractors.
 Preparing Final Account Statement, negotiating with Subcontractor & closing out the contracts.
 Performing site visits to calculate actual progress & material on site, preparing monthly payment applications.
 Performing material reconciliation - Analyzing the variance between the materials received to the site (Used quantity) & actual requirement as per drawings (Theatrical quantity).
 Measuring & estimating for future material requirements & balance work to complete.
 Review and understanding of the sub-contracts documents and assisting commercial team in assessment of cost related issues & documentations.

Duties & Responsibilities at Watermaster Qatar W.L.L
 Reviewing & understanding of the tender documents (Drawings, Specifications, etc...)
 Preparing preliminary/approximate estimation for Initial budget proposals.
 Performing site visits and observing the actual site conditions for the estimation and preparing site visit reports.
 Taking off quantities from tender drawings & site measurement and preparing BOQ.
 Preparing sub-contract tender packages including BOQ, specifications, and drawings.
 Sending requests for quotations (RFQ) to subcontractors & suppliers, and receiving quotations.
 Preparing comparison sheet for subcontract & supplier’s quotations for rate analysis.
 Preparing actual unit cost & price build-up for the new items by using first principles.
 Pricing the BOQ, analyzing & finalizing the tender price for management’s final review.
 Prepare the cost to sale summary with factors for management review.
 Preparation of commercial and technical proposals for tender submission.
 Advising the accounts department to arrange the Tender Bond.
 Preparing the construction program of work by using Primavera.
 Drawing the necessary sketch drawings for tender submission.
 Performing value engineering and life cycle costing.
 Maintaining all the logs (Material Database, Vendor lists, Project Log, etc.…)
 Attending meetings with clients and consultants or sub-contractors and suppliers.

Duties & Responsibilities at SLB Construction Service

 Taking off quantity and preparing BOQ.
 Preparing Engineer’s Estimates & Actual unit cost.
 Site monitoring / Supervising & Recording all site activities.
 Preparing of weekly, monthly work schedules.
 Preparing bar bending (Reinforcement) schedule.
 Procurement of material.
 Obtaining Sub-contractor’s quotations & Selection of Sub-Contractor.
 Checking / Evaluating the Sub-contractor’s payment Application.
 Preparing Monthly Interim payment application.
 Identifying & Valuation of Variation and negotiate with the consultant.
 Preparing Extra works & Claims and agreeing with consultant.
 Preparing Comparison between tender and construction stage and cost analysis
 Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
 Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
 Preparing work progress report as per work completion on site.
 Cost forecasting and cost reporting to the management.
 Attending the meetings with the Client and Consultant or Sub-contractor and Supplier.
