Responsibilities:
• Identifying and developing cost effective panel of vendor / supplier for effective procurement of materials
• Gathering the production requirements and accordingly raising purchase request to prepare for Re-order level, well in advance
• Interacting with suppliers, negotiating for favorable rates & terms, finalizing orders and placing purchase indents
• Carrying out inspection of material at suppliers' site and further validating the Materials Receiving report to ascertain, whether they satisfy the specification provided in the purchase order
• Developing and implementing major procurement strategies and dispatch schedules thereby ensuring accomplishment of organizational objectives
• Working closely with various internal departments to ensure smooth execution of all activities
• Coordinating with shipping agent for transit of goods and to ensure that consignment is delivered to client on time
• Verifying the invoice raised by suppliers and following up with accounts department to send payment on time
• Exploring potential opportunities for business growth and make suggestions to increase profitability of the company
• Providing proactive support to the overseas officials visiting India for business purpose
• Designing MIS reports pertaining to distribution particulars, with details on materials, distribution, shipping, customers, vendor etc. using SAP
