Designed the target architecture for Singaporean airline to modernize their Enterprise Information Management ecosystem (DB2, Datastage, SAP, Oracle, AbInitio, Redshift, Tableau, Dbt, Great Expectations, ClickHouse, DevOPS).
Hired, managed, and led a Cloudera experts team to help a Singaporean bank to upgrade the big data analytics platform (CDH to CDP) and deploy analytical clusters (Cloudera Data Science Workbench) in China, Indonesia and India.
Responsible for the Data & Analytics practice within the APAC region. Architect for the ADR initiative (dispute resolution processes digitalization) to strengthen and grow Singapore's position as a leading arbitration and mediation hub, for the Ministry of Law's and Singaporean mediation/arbitration centres (SIMC/SIAC). Many actors involved (LegalTech startups ecosystem, Temasek, the EDB) with multiple enablers (blockchain, case/document management, virtual mediation rooms, agreement monitoring, authentication, confidentiality). Led the business-critical application refactoring initiative (Single-View of Customer with database and workloads) for a UK-based Insurance company, on Azure (SSIS, SQLServer, SQL Managed Instance, Data Factory, Database Migration Service). Provided PwC and AWS with architecture and development expertise regarding an initiative to improve the Ministry of Trade and Industries supply chain's efficiency, leveraging a Common Data Infrastructure (S3, Postman, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Quicksight). Provided Data Architecture expertise (Data models and data dictionaries) to the Budgeting and Planning Capabilities initiative with a team of experts (BI, BA, Developers), leveraging Workday, Informatica BDM and MFT, SFTP Server with S3 storage, PostgreSQL and Qlik Sense. Lumada Data Optimiser (Hadoop cluster scalability), Lumada Data Lake and Lumada Edge Intelligence (Edge Computing).
Led the answer to the IRIS (Integrated Intelligence System) Ministry of Manpower RFP, an initiative aiming at integrating intelligence operations into
a centralised platform (data lake) to process both structured and unstructured data with analytical capabilities.
Designed an Edge to AI solution for a security company authorized to provide armed security officers to Singaporean government organisations, leveraging the Lumada IoT platform, including various data sources and types (GIS, Drone, Robots, Video, mainly near real-time) with multiple business integrations (API).
Designed a solution for eliminating data friction for a Power&Renewable, Environment and New Energies solutions provider, leveraging Lumada IoT and Data Catalog (governance and data operationalisation).
Led feasibility study with GovTech expert to identify where/how Lumada Data IoT platform could integrate with DECADA (Government IoT technology stack).
IT Architecture Manager for the Mobility Division Designed, led, and oversaw the implementation of a big data and analytics ecosystem for the REAMS project (Rail Enterprise Assets Management Systems), for Land Transport Authority with constant collaboration between LTA, PTO and STEE. The main goals were to increase the level of reliability while optimizing corresponding maintenance costs, requiring the capabilities to predict the likelihood of asset failures, estimate the useful remaining lifetime, maintain inventory stock (with automatic resupply to ensure minimum safety levels) and trigger maintenance action just-in-time. The ecosystem included multiple building blocks, e.g. Hadoop/Spark cluster (50+ nodes, 3 environments), HCatalog, HBase, Sqoop, Flume, Apache NiFi, QlickSense, SQL Server, Docker, Splunk as well as various ML algorithms (CoxNet, Linear and Logistic Regression, Survival) Led the data assessment initiative with a team of data engineers, BI and data scientists and oversaw the Knowledge Transfer and Training delivered to PTOs. Contributed to the Digital Center of Excellence initiatives related to MindSphere (IoT solution for industries), Blockchain and Autonomous Vehicles. Contributed to the Track Circuits Condition-based Monitoring replacement project.
Led and designed an Enterprise Data Model for the Solution and Industry Standards division to serve as a template for the TMForum. Supported Data Analytics/Science teams with Universal Customer View project (450 billion xDR / day, 100 TB / day (Hadoop, Spark, R and Python). Showcased Huawei Customer Experience Management products and 5G future capabilities to various VIP clients (Libyan telecom, Saudi Arabia Minister of Interior...etc) during their tour of Huawei Campus (Cloud Park). Business Architect for TMForum Catalyst Omni-channel initiative (a collaboration between Vodafone and Huawei) which has been awarded as Outstanding Performance during Nice event (May 2017). Participation in the MWC (Mobile World Congress) to promote Huawei Customer Experience Management capabilities. Led and designed the AIS (historical telco operator - 40 million subscribers) business and operating model transformation (from Network Operating Center to Services Operating Center) to deliver a better customer experience, leveraging Huawei CEM SmartCare platform (Hadoop/Spark stack) and following Enterprise Architecture approach (CEM Maturity Level Assessment, Capability Map, Business Value, Value Streams) and using BiZBoK, DMBoK, eTOM, TAM, SID, Abacus EA modelling tool.
Defined and enabled a mature data management discipline across the organisation, leveraging the DAMA DMBoK methodology, in preparation for the GDPR arrival and mitigating/preventing financial penalties. Designed and led the implementation of an Enterprise Service Bus (based upon WSO2) to handle changes between business-critical applications in a faster way, simplify the definition of interface contracts between enablers and provides business with greater flexibility. Led the Master Data Management RFI and vendor selection. Later oversaw its implementation within the organisation (leveraging Semarchy) Led a Big Data/Data Science initiative, aiming at identifying potential salary discrepancies between genders, across the organisation (multiple data sets, e.g. CVs, Jobs Functions, Salaries… all sensitive data were anonymised). Created multiple cartographies to identify as-is and discrepancies between departments, with help of the Sparx Enterprise Architect modelling tool which I also provided users with associated support/training/mentoring. Collaborated with the R&D department to promote the use of BPMN and automate actions accordingly (e.g. creation and maintenance of IT assets).
Led the following architecture studies: Deployment of an EDMS (Electronic Documents Management System) on a worldwide perimeter to provide advanced capabilities (indexation, search, retrieval of tremendous amount of documents without proper metadata), leveraging OpenText solution. Navy Tracking solution to limit the possibility of ship piracy (Aden straight), using satellite and vessel data. Analysis of hardware failures to identify patterns and improve the reduce the number of Type I errors (false positives), leveraging the Hadoop ecosystem, R, Python and SSRS. Led the creation and deployment of a Technical Architecture Bureau (leveraging TOGAF ADM, TRM and CAF frameworks) with an associated architecture repository to centralize every end-to-end solution of the European Data Center (IS and Technology layers). Contributed to the Yamal LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) initiative (data assessment for specific use cases, e.g. leakage risks)
Led the Apache Solr search and index solution migration (3.6 to 4.6.1) and the design and implementation of a CAS/IdP platform (SimpleSAMLPHP). Improved "fastest path" model for tour postmen (Dijkstra algorithm) and analysis of customer potential interest for banking services provided by the group (linear/logistic regression with regularization R, Python)
Within Marketing and Services (Commercial division of the Total Group in charge of developing and marketing products primarily derived from crude oil, along with all of the associated services) Re-architected the Electronic Payment System ecosystem to improve its performance and improve its scalability/flexibility (WebSphere, JBOSS) Led the European SAP ecosystem architecture upgrade (4.6c to ECC6) and drove the cloud SaaS outsourcing (e-SCM) initiative. Contributed to the South-African DMZ overhaul (virtualization, backups infrastructures, authentication centralization, patches, and antivirus deployment management) as well as a database rationalization and consolidation project. Defined the target SAP landscape (worldwide perimeter) for the next 5 years Led, designed, and oversaw the implementation of an Enterprise Architecture Framework (TOGAF best practices), responsible for its management (daily architecture activities within and outside projects) and ensuring the quality of deliverables meets the stakeholders' expectations
Led the following initiatives for Engie Business Unit Disentanglement of the GRTGaz Lotus Notes ecosystem from Engie IS, according to the 3rd European directive (separation of companies' generation and sale operations from their transmission networks) with about 650 databases, and 5000 users and designed the target hosting solution, leveraging Orange Business IaaS environment. Contributed to the definition of the Business Continuity Plan for Engie's BI solution (SAP BW). Also led the implementation of an SSO capability into the existing Cofely UK SAP ecosystem (Engie renewable energy affiliate) Designed the target architectures for a European SAP ecosystem resumption project (Europe - BI/CRM/ECC/PO/SD - 5000 users) as well as the Eutelsat SAP project (leading European satellite operator and supplier of fixed satellite services) Contributed to the Engie private cloud RFP answer
Led the IPTV ecosystem evolution study (multiple enablers Billing, Charing, Provisioning, CDN, Encryption, STB) addressing about 4 million users for a budget of about 60 M€). Oversaw its solution implementation to provide the business with capabilities enhancement and allow more users to subscribe (SVOD, VOD, Catchup TV) Defined a transverse data model (identification of master data) and created multiple architectural artefacts (GAD, TAS, HLD/LLD, baseline, master plans) In charge of the IPV6 upgrade feasibility study and led the architecture part of the new Set-Top-Box with advanced capabilities.
Responsible for the UNIX servers (IBM AIX 5.3) ecosystem, hosting strategic corporate business application (DMS Autoline) for all subsidiaries and authorized dealers, with high availability, storage, backup/restore, and scalability.
