Key responsibilities:
Supervision: Set and follow a monthly work plan with the program manager and ensure that the tasks are conducted on time. Follow up with other program staff to ensure work plans are shared in the first week of each month. Coordinate with the program team to discuss the planned activities and progress. Attend to health cluster and other meetings.
I am responsible as well to Oversee implementation of project activities in nutrition(CMAM) (IYCF)) and involved in training, supervising and assisting nutrition field staff to ensure the best possible nutrition services are delivered to children U5
Reporting: ensure the quality and accuracy of RH-related reporting coming out of all IMC supported HFs in Sana’a Governorate. Assist program manager and grants and reporting manager with other deliverables relating to RH Health, including quarterly, interim and final reports.
Other duties:
o Working closely with the Health Program manager and health coordinator to achieve health program objectives and targets effectively and efficiently.
o working in constant collaboration with nutrition coordinator in IMC, District and Governorate Ministry of health staff, the DHO, other local authorities, and community members in order to share nutrition issues so as to improve/promote the nutrition of the vulnerable groups from the targeted communities.
o Improving the quality of primary health care (PHC) services especially nutrition delivered at supported health facilities through the setting of priorities for medical staff, on the job training, and continuous support supervisions, review monthly meeting
o Monitoring performance of health workers at the supported health facilities and provide technical support when needed.
o Ensuring diagnosis and treatment of patients is based on standard procedures (national and international guidelines)
o Actively participating in the identification and management of an epidemic.
o Building the capacity of health workers through proper coaching and on the job training
o Conducting monitoring visits to the supported health facilities, providing a monitoring report that includes the findings, recommendations, and action plans. Preparing and submitting monthly reports on health and nutrition program activities and other relevant reports to health and nutrition manager.
Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse: Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
Compliance & Ethics: Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.
1-Treat patients who have life-threatening conditions. 2-Rsuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments
3- Evaluate a wide variety of ailments
4- Make a tentative diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
