● Use of epidemiology as a scientific tool to make rational decision relevant to community and individual for preventive, curative and rehabilitative care.
● Infection Control and study of various infectious conditions
● Tropical Medicine study in terms of communicable and non-communicable diseases
● Investigate an outbreak or epidemic identifying the causes/factors and suggest the measures.
● Diagnosis and manage public health problems prevailing in the community keeping in mind the existing health care system in the context of the prevailing socio-cultural beliefs.
● Guide the health system at Policy, Planning. Implementing or Monitoring & Evaluation level.

● Tutored MBBS Students (Class strength ranging from 10 to 200) in Community Medicine at BMCRI, Bangalore
● Conducted Internal Assessments and Examinations of MBBS students of BMCRI, Bangalore
● Training of students of Health Inspector course and Nursing students in Community Medicine
