- Represent Flint in Client Engineering meetings. Hold both parties accountable for delivery of materials and engineering packages as defined within the project execution plan.
- Responsible for leading the project team in E and I plant design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Managing contracts and Design. Preparation and implementation of electrical and instrument systems according to clients’ requirements and quality standards.
- Performs technical research and economic analysis in regard to capital improvement projects or as requested from other departments.
- Supervises other engineers and technicians in the project.
- Reviews planning memorandums and makes comments on suitability of requests with respect to engineering considerations.
- Able to perform accurate design calculations and cost estimates.
- Provide technical support for Electrical & Instrumentation system engineering design of the plants & equipments, design reviews, evaluations and safety studies.
- Prepare functional specifications for any modification/replacements in the area of electrical and instrumentation system.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting of problems at running plants, commissioning and construction activities.
- Ensure technical integrity of the power generation and distribution systems.
- Standardize electrical & instrumentation specifications for all modifications and new developments.
- Evaluate spares consumption & requirement and help field staff in inventory optimization.
- Perform reliability & availability analysis and suggest improvements Assist development of projects & contracts scope of work supply, tender documents, selection of vendors & contractors, project completion, close out and lessons learned report.
- Implements programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.

- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
- Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (GMAO) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
- Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, etc.
- Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
