Operation and Maintenance of District Cooling Plant, Doha Metro Rail (Red Line - Ras bu Fontas Station)
Closely monitoring Chillers and pumping systems, switching of Chillers and pumps as directed by the management for set durations.
Updating management on status of job and any discrepancies or problems, which may affect plant operations.
Maintaining record of Chiller Reports and Pump room equipment operations log sheet.
Submission of FAHU log sheet, orally or in writing of progress and status as necessary to ensure and to identify and resolve any problems encountered that may cause delays, damage or interruption of utility services in the serving areas.
Performing diagnostic tests, predictive maintenance and troubleshooting on systems, equipment, and components to maximize equipment reliability.
To be aware of relevant codes, regulations and apply them consistently in daily activities.
To share knowledge with skilled and semi-skilled employees in areas of plant operations and maintenance practices.
Office Responsibilities:
• Designing & Drafting of Mechanical systems for small and medium scale projects using AUTOCAD following ASHRAE, SMACNA standards.
• Preparing the BOQ for submission to the Client/Main Contractor after Quantity take-off from the drawings for medium scale projects.
• To prepare Quotations in line with company procedures in SAP and delivering within client time frames for unitary products.
• To ensure all quotations are followed up, and sales orders obtained at every opportunity.
Site Responsibilities:
• Following all the shop drawings, technical submittals and assure that the drawings are in line with the project specification and the authority requirements before execution of any works.
• Implementations and monitoring of works at site as per approved drawings, methods and safety rules.
• Estimation, preparation and assignment of the resources such as manpower, materials, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical and related works prior to execution.
• Co-ordination with various departments within the company in all project related works.
• Assigning targets for accomplishments and to ensure targets are met on daily basis for all mechanical groups on site.
• Response RFI and propose technical solutions.
• Inspect CRFI of NCR close outs of different activities according to approved disposition of NCR with comments.
• Testing and balancing of HVAC systems, Air and Water balancing preparation of Test reports.
• Trouble shooting the issues in Air and water balancing.
• Submit daily site reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on a regular basis.
• Directly responsible for the safety of all Mechanical groups personnel of the project by ensuring that the
• project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
• Attend meeting with a Client, Consultant and Main Contractor to provide an update on project progress.
• Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at site that may arise at any time.
Office Responsibilities:
Heat load calculations using E-20 sheet and HAP Software.
Selection of FCU’s, AHU’s, Chillers, on the basis of Heat Load calculations.
Estimating the duct size using Duct-sizer Software in both metric and imperial units.
Duct design following SMACNA standards and selection of air terminals.
Pipe Sizing for the chilled water system by manual method.
Refrigerant copper pipe sizing, Indoor and Outdoor selection for VRF systems.
Schematic and Shop drawing for the complete HVAC System.
Timely site visits for ensuring proper installation of all the mechanical services.
Attending minutes of meeting and M.E.P coordination.
Ensuring all HVAC site activities are conducted under controlled conditions as per shop drawings, method statements, and specification and work plan.
Site Responsibilities:

Attend meeting with a Client, Consultant and Main Contractor to provide an update on project progress.
Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at site that may arise at any time.
Trouble shooting the issues in Air and water balancing.
