Key responsibilities include:
• Planning, execution, monitoring & controlling of Plant turnarounds and shutdowns which includes:
Preparation of WBS, bar charts; and progress monitoring of major jobs using Primavera & SAP.
Monitoring, maintaining & evaluating overall project performance / maintenance performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) and Key Performance Indexes (KPIs).
Identification of all materials, tools, equipments, logistics and special preparations required for each job of turnaround/ shutdown.
Provision of all material, equipment & human resources required for handling turnaround / Shutdown to all concerned agencies.
Finalization of job scope for turnaround /shutdown by coordinating meetings between maintenance and production units and issuance of final job lists.
Preparation of job scopes / job packages for contracting out jobs of turnaround/shutdown. Floating of RFQs, reviewing quotations received by bidding process and subsequently awarding contracts.
Preparation of casual manpower loading charts and awarding contracts for manpower services.
Maintaining close follow up with procurement unit to ensure availability of critical spares during turnaround/shutdown.
Budget estimation & forecasting for allocation of resources required for turnaround.
Preparation / issuance of turnaround organogram.
Conducting interviews of skilled manpower prior to turnaround and maintaining databank of all qualified trades.
Preparation & presentation of planned vs actual progress summaries to top management on daily basis during execution phase of turnaround by using S-curves
Issuance of detailed summary report of turnaround and archiving of all lessons learnt during closing phase.
Closing of all contracts issued for turnaround / shutdown.
• Assist maintenance agencies in Preparation / planning of weekly job schedules according to their priorities.
• Issuance /follow up of monthly Preventive Maintenance plans of Plant’s Machinery & equipment and issuance of monthly PM reports.
• Preparation / consolidation of Annual Operational & Capital Expenditure Budget for maintenance department.
• Coordinating with all neighboring industries for any assistance required by any unit / section
Key accomplishments include:
• Furnace (Ammonia Primary reformer) revamping project at Ammonia Unit
• Replacement of tubes of Ammonia reactor startup furnace.
• Modification jobs of piping layouts in accordance with Snamprogetti specifications
• Repair/Maintenance of heat exchangers
• Complete overhauling of Nuovo Pignone 2MCL 458 ammonia refrigeration compressor
• Complete overhauling of 14 stages Nuovo Pignone centrifugal air compressor
• Overhauling of 2HE/1 type, double acting, Nouvo Pignone reciprocating compressor
• Cooling tower fans up-rating project
• Overhauling of 16 cylinder SACM 1.5 MW engine, 8-cylinder Cummins VT 903, 6-cylinder Cummins NTF-365, 6-cylinder Cummins 6BT5.9, 8-cylinder Dorman’s 8QT diesel engines
• Worked on hydraulic circuits, planetary and differentials of cranes and pay loaders
