Rail Minor Works - Work Order Manager
Coleman Rail is engaged by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) to perform Rail Minor Works and capital improvement projects on the DIT Rail and Tram Networks. Many of the work orders undertaken are completed in occupation and closure situations.
- Pre-construction planning activities involved developing of construction procedure and management plans, develop of construction forecast budget, develop technical solutions, specifications, and scopes, develop the Occupational Planner, Procurement Schedule, and subcontractor engagements.
- Managed full cycle of various small projects from building construction budget, managing programme, resourcing strategies, design, identifying risks, and close out.
- Work collaboratively with DIT to ensure success of the project. Capitalise on associated works and occupations of the rail corridor. Demonstrate value for money through scope, program, procurement and delivery strategy and execution.
- Worked closely with a wide range of stakeholders including ARTC, One Rail, Various Councils across SA, DIT representatives,
- Managing and follow up on RFIs, Variations, and Progress claims by contractors.

Remarkable Completed Projects:
• Mawson Lakes Drain Bridge upgrades - Replacing the existing Gawler Railway line underbridge crossing over Dry Creek, with a concrete Culvert structure and ballasted Track within 30 days shutdown along the Gawler Line.
• Semaphore and Kings Rd Level crossings upgrades - Completed on two different Rail Line closure, which involved complete box out and replacement of Asphalt and Railway Lines, installation of Stormwater with a full depth formation works. Lay of full depth Asphalt and profiling on all Road extents and reinstating of line marking.
• Torrens River Bridge Repairs - Full swing stage scaffold establishment inclusive access under the Torrens River Bridge, replacement of Outer Harbour Railway Lines, undertake full testing and repair of the bridge steel structure using blasting and painting. Continuous environmental monitoring where required along the project due to its significant heritage condition.
• Pinera Embankment stabilisation - Full flooding of 250 meters of Belair Track with Ballast to create access for plants, trimming and shaping of the embankment using Longreach excavators, drill and install 350 cogged soil nails and reinforcement steel mesh, and shotcrete the embankment with 40MPA concrete.

o Dry Creek Yard Turnout Replacements
o Lonsdale Embankment stabilisation
o Station Enhancements and Upgrades - Tactile installation, Lift shafts, Shelters and bike cages, Access Ramps, walkways, etc

PROJECT ENGINEER at AMANA QATAR CONTRACTING CO

Full responsibility for the construction of structural and foundation reinforced concrete elements, Piling, Rafts, Columns, Slabs, Water Tanks, and Shear walls; construction of Asphalt pavement road works; civil infrastructure works (underground utilities); construction of earthworks and of hard and soft landscaping.
Been involved in multimillion projects across the state of Qatar which involved the construction of Factories, Schools, Health centres, Residential Apartments, and finally the $20 Billion Doha Airport project.
Projects:
• Appointed to position as Junior Site Engineer immediately following graduation, with responsibility for construction of all infrastructure services, steel structure erection and utility buildings for the Qatar International Cable Factory (QICC). The responsibilities also covered checking and interpretation of shop drawings and site plans, and coordinating the development and implementation of design, quality, safety and planning, and demonstrated a high level of self-confidence in applying tertiary training at a practical on-site level.
• Promoted to the level of Senior Site Engineer for the construction of the Ooredoo Telecom Customer and Technical Care Building (Basement + 3 Floors). Developed and implemented detailed construction plans with input from various stakeholders including sub-contractors, the quality assurance team and site implementation team. Evaluated procedures to ensure the delivery of the project as per the set technical specifications, to avoid any potential clashes between structural and MEP elements and budget and time overruns through poor coordination between the various trades. Influential in achieving early milestones and efficient use of resources.
• Appointed as Project Engineer between March 2012 and December 2016 for three major projects:
o New Doha International Airport: Airport Staff Access Control Facility projects involving main access facility building (13, 119 m2), asphalt road works (65, 000 m2), 850 car parking space, open space (49, 000 m2), and interlock walkway areas (49, 500 m2).
o Qatar Petrochemical Company New Material Warehouse: - construction of 21, 360m2 overall area for warehouses, loading areas, and external roads.
o Construction of 4 New Schools around Doha and Villages. Construction of all the structural elements, infrastructure, landscaping, internal and external finishing, football and handball fields, car parking, and roads
