Accountabilities:
- Driving the monthly operational review & control of entire back-end operations (India / China / UAE) with CEO and SC leadership
- Improving / driving the annual budgeting exercise for back end operations
- Strategic sourcing for Cat A RM / PM items for India & China
- Provide market intelligence / analysis to leadership for spend decision making for Cat A RM / PM items
- Operational control of China operations
Accountabilities:
- Project Management / Co-ordination for global implementation - HO, Zambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Angola
- Functional lead for SCM modules
- Implementation of a customised solution in Oracle R12 for Central Supply Chain called - Straight Through Processing (STP) which involved automation of the inter-company invoicing for goods
Responsibilities:
1. Assigned to the Central SCM team to understand the business processes and operations
2. Monthly forecasting and demand planning, supporting the S&OP process and activities.
Projects:
1. Developed a data model for the NPD team to facilitate accurate and realistic costing of new products
2. Studied the container clearing process for each of the markets and documented them in the SOP
3. Developed a key-word searchable reference database for documenting various issues in the global supply chain of the organization.
4. IBM Cognos BI implementation (Business Champion):
4.1 Development of the Business Planning model in Cognos
4.2 Developed the Costing model in Cognos
4.3 Developed the monthly financial reporting model in Cognos - including Supply Chain related MIS
4.4 Deployment of the above models throughout the business in Africa, India & Dubai
This is a specialised course focusing on international business and it's various aspects (supply chain, operations, finance, cross cultural interactions) with a 3 month Global Study Tour in Europe with ESSCA university.
