• Applying the Quantity Surveying techniques for the Civil and Architecture Works and follow up takeoff
sheets with the Engineer and the Client until receiving approval.
• Calculation and certification of the sub-contractors invoices.
• Supporting the team to prepare the construction progress status for the monthly client payments.
• Estimation of the variation orders and commercial offers for additional scope of work.
• Preparing the cost estimation and cost breakdown for the project items and the required RFQ.
• Handle the negotiation process and follow up till closure for any commercial conflicts.
• Raise the flag for any critical variance between the actual quantities and DDD quantities.
• Acting in the negotiation process with sub-contractors for any major conflicts and maintaining a proper
documentation and reporting system.
• Establish a master file for the utilized rental equipment on the site and follow its sub-contracts.
• Creating a professional tracking log to follow the sub-contractors’ invoices status.
• SAP User and well aware of creating a purchasing request (PR), uploading a service entry sheet (SES), issuing
the advance payment request, and tracking and extracting various reports from SAP systems.
• Receive the tender documents as BOQ, Drawings, Specifications, Reports, and Scope of work.
• Review all the documents and ensure that all the required data for pricing are available in the document.
• Issuing tender queries for the contradictions between the documents or missing information.
• Arranging a site visit with the client representative to investigate project topography, availability of services,
and site conditions.
• Divide work packages and send quotations to the subcontractors and the suppliers.
• Studying the project BOQ, Drawings, and Specifications.
• Preparing the cost estimation and cost breakdown for the BOQ items according to the project requirements
and site conditions.
• Coordinate with the Quantity Surveying department for quantity Surveying and checking quantities.
• Receiving offers from the subcontractors and the suppliers and preparing comparison sheets.
• Evaluate the subcontractors’ & suppliers’ quotations and select the best offers.
• Review terms and conditions of the subcontractors’ & suppliers’ quotations.
• Estimation of the indirect costs, overhead, and profit for bids with tendering manager.
• Finalize financial and technical bid proposal documentation.
• Estimation of the variation orders for additional scope of work.
• Assist Quantity Surveying Manager regarding critical & risk Issues in the contract.
• Review the method of measurement for BOQ items.
• Establish a master file for quantities and calculation sheets (BOQ).
• Responsible for Quantity Surveying tasks - correspondence between specs and drawings.
• Agree on item breakdowns and verify quantities (BOQ).
• Monitoring and preparing the initial assessment for any additional cost may occur through the various
principles of the contract including the collection of supporting documents.
• Involving and participating in value engineering discussions.
• Raise the flag for any critical variance between the actual quantities and contract quantities.
• Handle the negotiation process and follow up till closure for any commercial conflicts.
