- Determination of contractor interim payment application and variations prior to Client recommendation.
- Identifying any changes or revisions to newly issued drawings and provide estimate for potential cost and time impact.
- Assist Cost Manager in managing the overall project commercial report, preparation of cash flow, identifying design and construction risk, maintains up to date record of design change register, approved and potential variation orders to facilitate determination of the project Anticipated Final Cost.

- Assessing, agreeing, and recommending to the Client the contractors interim payment applications and variation order claims.
- Attending meetings (including but not limited to design and scope coordination, progress, and valuation meetings) with the Client, Engineer and Contractors.
- Managing re-measurement exercises which involves joint measurement with the Contractor.
- Managing final account reconciliation with contractors.
- Preparing cost plan, order of cost estimates, and pre-tender estimates.
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities. Conducting quantity take-off.
- Projects Involved:
o Dubai International Airport Expansion Project (Phase III)

- Prepares cost and budget estimates as required during Tender and Job-In Hand Stage.
- Preparation of measurement sheets and assists in quantity take-off.
- Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims
from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintains daily record of man-hour, consumables, material delivery, equipment usage, overheads, etc. project wise.
- Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of
milestone progress, to the preparation of customer billing process.
- Perform and manage project scheduling and monitoring.
- Attends project meetings and discussion with the project management team and external clients.
- Provide cost control and planning advice as and when required.
- Coordinate with the Project team to resolve project issues to ensure on time delivery and completion of the project.
- Prepares weekly and monthly progress reports and cost analysis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the
budget.

- Prepare bill of quantities, schedule of works, specification and all contract documentation, ensuring that these comply with the project brief and timescale, budget estimate and all relevant legislation, regulations and policies.
- Carrying out feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor cost.
- Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Undertaking costs analysis of various subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepares adjudications of proposals from various subcontractor and reports to Estimator regarding final pricing.
- Maintains and update database of supplier and subcontractor contact person and details including all quotations receive for future references.
- Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing target and costing budget.
- To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress and arranging payments, including forecasting of final cost and sales.
- Assist Senior Quantity Surveyor with planning and scheduling new work and in dealing with incoming enquiries in order to provide best value and timely service to clients.-
- Prepares report with recommendations on new work and work in progress for Estimating Manager so that progress can be monitored and appropriate decisions be made.

- Acknowledge the receipt of bid documents and be acquainted with it in preparation for material take-off and forecasting of fabrication and erection works.
- Preparation of Request for Information regarding discrepancies arising from the drawing and specification.
- Ensuring that all the requirements and standards of customer are achieved prior to submission of proposal on time.
- Attends kick-off meeting with concerned departments to discuss possible problems that may take place during the start of job-in-hand projects. Discuss clearly the scope of work and items that were considered in the forecast.
- Prepares reports, correspondence and submittals required by Client such as Pre-Qualification Documents, Quality Plan, Methodology, Manpower and Equipment Histogram.
- Performs Value Engineering to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standard and quality.
- Analyze the quotation received from the suppliers and subcontractors if in line with the project specification.
- Checks the correctness of Material Requisition Forms (M.R.F.) with regard to Quantities calculated, Quantities previously ordered and Quantities balance.
- Ensure costs are controlled within Budget, and that cost control is maintained from inception to completion.
- Arrange for Variation Orders that may arise during the project construction phase.
- Coordinates with Construction Team in valuing completed work for preparation of Invoicing / Payments to subcon.
- Prepare and maintain up to date record of all material delivered to site, construction schedule, manpower, submittals and drawing log.

- Prepares material take-off and forecasting of fabrication and erection activities according to clients requirements and standards.
- Checks for possible discrepancy in quantity, specifications and descriptions.
- Carry out site inspection if the Project requires civil or erection works prior to cost estimation.
- Amends and revise costing to suit the customer’s latest requirements and specification.
- Prepares Material Requisition, Cutting Plan, Cutting List, Shipping and Packing list for Job-In-Hand Projects.
