DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviewed assigned projects contract documents, IFC, and specifications and advised resident engineer for any deficiency.

Reviewed and approved contractor's submittals such as shop drawings, material submittal, method statements, calculations, sub-contractor pre-qualification, as-built drawing, spare parts, O&M & training Manuals for all related mechanical works to ensure compliance with the design intent and project contract requirements.

Checked and provided recommendations for the RFI’s and field design changes submitted by contractor with reference to contract specifications, IFC drawings, QCS, and applicable international standards. Assist and provide technical support and assessment to cost engineer, check variations and claims related to mechanical works raised by Contractor.

Regularly visits the construction site to ensure quality of work is being implemented in compliance with contract requirements. Ensure that contractor has secured approval of material submittals, method statement (MS), shop drawings, Quality Control Procedures (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) prior to commence construction activities.
Prepare and submit site observation reports for any deviation found to the assigned MEP Manager and Resident Engineer.

Regular spot checks of material delivered to site and direct the relevant Inspector/Engineer to continue inspection of stored materials on site to ensure it is as per approved materials and in good condition.

Ensured full coordination to other disciplines / Trades has been carried out for all External and Internal MEP services and advises the Resident Engineer for any deficiency.

Closely monitor the project site activities with respect to quality, safety, progress, and advise Resident Engineer for any findings, area of concerns, and corrective action.
