Responsible for designing, implementing, managing
and optimising API-based integrations between Points
Internationals loyalty / payments / partner systems and
external partners. This role is senior and will involve both
hands-on technical work and stakeholder coordination
(internal & external). The role aims to ensure that
integration solutions are robust, scalable, secure,
aligned with business requirements, and deliver value
to loyalty programme partners or clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Document integration architectures, API
contracts/specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger,
WSDL for SOAP, etc.), data mapping documents,
run books and operation/support guides.
• Monitor integration performance, usage metrics,
and proactively identify opportunities for
optimisation, reuse of integration components,
and improvements to scale, reliability and
maintainability.
• Provide guidance, mentoring or oversight to
more junior integration engineers or specialists
when required.
• Stay current with integration technology trends
(REST, SOAP, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven
APIs, integration platforms, cloud services) and
advise on opportunities to evolve the integration
strategy.

• Supervised a wide variety of projects from
inception to completion while ensuring that
projects meet established business goals,
time and budget constraints, and standards
of technical quality.
• Experience in AWS code commit, EKS, ECS,
Lambda, S3 bucket, Route 53 etc.
• Closely monitoring the health of APIS with
the help of Grafana and automated scripts
incorporated in AWS .
• Work with external vendors for integrated
solutions without comprising the integrity of our
applications.
• Preparing KPI based on Kibana and Grafana.
• Responsible for creating API swagger from
API define and mapping specifications.
• Supported projects across the enterprise to
use integration infrastructure and implement
integration interfaces on various projects.
• API management experience with wso2 API
manager
• Development of new API with wso2 micro
integrator.
• API analysis with WSO2 API analytics.
• Sound knowledge in deploying the service on
various environment based with DEVOPS
pipeline.
• Conduct API testing (Manual &Automation)
using SOAP UI, Postman, Cucumber BDD and
Katalon studio.
• Writing automation test flow and test
scenarios using functional test cases and
checklist.
• Run the testcases in the pipeline before the
deployment.
• Analyze requirements to identify areas for
improvement
• API creation /Template development and
operational support within WSO2 API Gateway
and API Management.
• Experience in design and implementation of
REST and SOAP services
• Experience working with a microservices
architecture and in a DevOps environment.
• API product expertise using WSO2 and API
gateway, Common API design patterns.
• Understanding development principles of
middleware and integration
technology, Agile, architecture patterns
• Strong knowledge in synchronous
/asynchronous API.
• Engage with stakeholders to build and
maintain effective relationships and
collaboration with partners, both internal and
external
