Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, budget, and schedule.
Ensure that electrical & instrumentation requirements are clearly outlined in the project plan.
Work with design teams to create electrical system designs that meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This includes power distribution, lighting, control systems, and instrumentation.
Ensure that all electrical & instrumentation designs and installations adhere to industry and government regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Manage the electrical & instrumentation portion of the project budget. Monitor costs, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to keep the project within budget.
Prepare specifications for electrical & instrumentation equipment and materials required for the project. Oversee the procurement process, including the selection of suppliers, bidding, and material purchasing.
Implement and oversee quality control procedures, testing, and inspections to ensure that electrical systems function as intended and meet safety and quality standards.
Oversee the installation and construction of electrical systems, collaborating with contractors and technicians to ensure work is completed according to design specifications and project timelines.
Enforce safety procedures and environmental compliance in all electrical & instrumentation construction activities to prevent accidents, protect the environment, and ensure worker safety.
Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring that all electrical systems are properly tested, verified, and ready for operation. Coordinate with other teams to start up electrical systems safely.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, change orders, and other records related to electrical systems and installations.
Handle change orders and variations that may arise during the construction phase, ensuring that any modifications to the electrical design are properly documented and executed.
Collaborate with various teams and departments, including civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and
other stakeholders, to ensure the overall project runs smoothly.
Identify and manage risks related to electrical aspects of the project, proactively addressing challenges and issues that may arise during construction.
Manage relationships with electrical equipment vendors and subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
