In this capacity overall responsible for Budgeting & Planning function, including project feasibilities, project financial close, share valuations and strategic business plan of the company. Member of specially created working group of all refineries of the country for negotiations with the Government. Prepared multiple financial models for country vide projections and presented the computations to the Government. These negotiations led to a broader consensus on a new refining policy which is expected to be implemented soon.
Successfully completed the requirements of the taxation laws of Pakistan for attaining ITP licensing, whereby a person holding a degree in commerce, is required to work for a continuous period of one year, under the supervision of a registered Income Tax Practitioner or a Chartered Accountant, during which one has to appear before various forums of Taxation Authorities.
Owing to scarcity of books at local level, a Book Bank Department was especially setup to arrange for procurement of books / printing rights from international publishers like McGraw-Hill, Pearson etc. As Incharge of Book Bank, was assigned with responsibilities of correspondence with publishers, placement of orders, clearance of consignments, stock maintenance and processing of payments.
Involved in the preparation of audit planning memorandum, meeting with clients, developing audit programs and giving conclusions thereon to the Audit Manager. Assisted various clients in making tax returns, filing rectification, revision applications and appeals.
