o Responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support to the Continuous Improvement department. Key job duties include participating in improvement projects such as reducing patient wait times, development of reports used to inform leadership decision-making, research. Assist in training the organization in lean six sigma principles.
o Participated in a project that reduced the average wait time at the pharmacy to an average of 10 minutes from an average of 20 minutes. This was achieved through lean techniques that were used to find and eliminate wastes in the process.
o Facilitated an in-house developed lean six sigma course to a group of caregivers at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The caregivers went through a project-based training on the DMAIC cycle and lean principles. In addition to facilitating other workshops that highlight other lean concepts such as: 5s, single piece flow, visual management, and eight deadly wastes.
o Started a partnership with Khalifa University’s Industrial and Systems Engineering program. We are providing the students with real project in which they can utilize their engineering skills to improve processes within the hospital for their senior design class.
