Responsibilities: Piloting, Mooring, Unmooring and Supervision of all loading operations on vessels of up to 300, 000 DWT at the terminal’s Single Buoy Moorings (SBM) and Conventional Berths conducting marine and safety inspections(Vetting Inspections).
• Supervises and assigns Mooring Masters to ships, through them directs all ship movement and loading activities within the port area.
• Keep all personnel records, certificates and tanker documents, and update same.
• Make maintenance schedules for all berths and floating equipments.
• Monitor all tanker loading operations and ensures that all operations are executed professionally and safely.
• Deals with and coordinates all emergency situations, such as tankers break-out, oil pollution, launch sinking, etc.
• Reports to Terminal Superintendent and attends regular meetings with him, Oil Movements, Safety, Vessel Agents and other personnel to liaise on the best ways to run an efficient terminal.
SUPERVISES AND ASSIGNS MOORING MASTERS TO SHIPS, THROUGH THEM DIRECTS ALL SHIP MOVEMENT AND LOADING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE PORT AREA. ACT AS MOORING MASTER WHEN RECUIRED. ASSIST THE MARINE SUPERINTENTENDENT/COORDINATOR IN SCHEDULING MAINTENANCE AND CARRYING OUT ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS. ACTING TERMINAL MARINE SUPERITENDENT AND PORT SECURITY OFFICER.
PILOTING, MOORING, UNMOORING AND SUPERVISION OF ALL LOADING OPERATIONS ON VESSELS OF UP TO 300, 000 DWT AT THE TERMINAL’S SINGLE BUOY MOORINGS AND CONVENTIONAL BERTHS.
Working at sea as a Second & First Officer inboard tankers, genenral cargo &passenger ships
MASTER TICKET IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF REGULATION (A-II/2) OF STCW 95 (A.A.S.T.)
AWARDED WITH GRADE OF VERY GOOD (Currently studying for Master’s Degree in International Transport & Logistics (A.A.S.T.) Estimated time of completion September 2008)
