•Madinah
- Madinah Hajj City, Saudi Arabia. Master plan, detailed design, tender documents and supervision of construction for a township on a 1.6 million m² site located 3 km southwest of the Holy Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, envisaged to accommodate 120, 000 pilgrims. The project comprises 82 four-star and five-star hotel towers; office towers; commercial mall with a basement for 2, 200 cars; 2 mosques with a total capacity of 14, 000 worshipers; hospital complex; and elevated light rail transit and bus stations with a peak capacity of 84, 000 pilgrims/hour. The project is complete with an internal road network, all infrastructure utilities and landscaping.
•Jeddah
- Aircrafts Maintenance Hangars, Saudi Arabia. Data collection, master plan update, feasibility study, preliminary design, preparation of tender documents, review of detailed design prepared by the Contractor, and supervision of construction for a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility, consisting of a 14-bay wide-bodied aircraft maintenance hangar (107, 100 m²), 2-bay paint hangar (13, 000 m²), 4-aircraft wash dock (28, 000 m²), engine run-up area and blast fence (18, 000 m²), shop core building and administration block (90, 000 m²), warehouse (45, 000 m²), 14-aircraft apron (110, 000 m²), and a car-parking area for 2, 000 cars (48, 000 m²), including all electromechanical and infrastructure utilities and networks.
- King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia. Project management, design review (according to LEED requirements), construction management and supervision for a new airport based on a new phased master plan up to the year 2035 (Phase 1 up to 2012), comprising a new passenger terminal complex (670, 000 m²) with a capacity of 30 million passengers per annum to replace the existing North and South Terminals; support buildings and facilities, complete landscaping, major utility networks, new landside roads and interchanges; programs coordination for related projects, including fuel tank farm, desalination plant, upgrading of existing terminals, sewage treatment plant; and planning and infrastructure for a major landside commercial zone, complementing the main development.
•Makkah
- King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz Extension for the Holy Haram, Saudi Arabia. Design review and supervision of construction for an extension to the Makkah Holy Haram to accommodate additional 800, 000 worshipers, comprising a new building of 4 praying levels with a capacity of 300, 000 worshipers, connected at its ground, first and roof floors to the First Saudi Extension of Makkah Haram, and includes a basement level for electromechanical services; state-of-the-art technology in natural and artificial climate and lighting controls; security, crowd management, and sound distribution and control systems; structural health monitoring sensors; The project provides internal courtyards covered with 12 operable skylights, 6 fixed ones, 4 fixed domes of 18 m diameter each, and one 36 m diameter sliding dome

- Makkah Underground Old Drainage tunnels, rehabilitation and backfilling using gravel slurry injection at depths ranging between 30.0 and 40.0 m

- Qassim - Madinah - Rabigh Expressway in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Design for two highway sections, namely Madinah Eastern Entrance (Section 1) and Madinah Western Entrance (Section 2) which represent the extensions of Qassim - Madinah and Yanbu - Madinah Expressways respectively into Madinah. Section 1 is a 7 km urban expressway, flanked with service roads at left and right, 6 grade-separation structures, 14 slip ramps and 1 viaduct. Section 2 ties with the existing Hijra Road and comprises 2 main lines, namely Yanbu
- Water Supply and Treatment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Hydrogeological study, groundwater modelling, safe yield estimate, rehabilitation of existing wells, site investigation, design and tender documents for a water supply and treatment system fed from a wellfield with a high salinity content. Project components: a reverse osmosis water treatment plant (design capacity of 50, 000 m³/day of product water), including pre-treatment and post-treatment facilities, auxiliary buildings.
Responsible for the field supervision of all geotechnical works relevant to the following project:
•Qatar
- Qatar -Bahrain Causeway, Preliminary Environmental and Engineering Investigations and Studies, Qatar. Traffic planning, traffic impact study, topographic and bathymetric surveys, preliminary environmental and engineering investigations, and geotechnical investigation for a 40-km long Causeway, incorporating a 20-km long bridge to maintain through navigation, access and approach roads, toll plazas and rest areas, and custom and immigration facilities.
Responsible for the site supervision of piling and foundation works, including review of designs and submittals, coordination of site works with other trades, ensuring compliance of site works with the approved specifications and designs, and preparation of progress reports and other technical documents, for the following projects:
•Angola
- Nova Cimangola Cement Mill No. 5, Angola. Preparation of tender documents, plant basic design, basic layout, materials requirements, plant process description, and basic flow charts; tender evaluation; contract negotiation; preparation of contract documents; review and approval of detailed design; construction management; daily supervision; and commissioning for the expansion of the cement grinding capacity by introducing one new closed circuit cement mill plant of 120 tons/hour capacity.
•Ethiopia
- Woldiya - Alamata Road Upgrading Project, Ethiopia. Supervision of the rehabilitation and widening of a 78 km, single 2-lane carriageway, including evaluation of designed pavement, traffic counts, retaining walls and drainage protection. Works also comprised foundation design and construction supervision for 13 new bridges of prefabricated girders on pile foundations (371 bored cast in-place piles with a diameter of 1, 200 mm), rehabilitation of 14 existing bridges, construction supervision of 97 new culverts, and extension of 175 existing culverts.
•Jordan
- Mujib Weir, Tunnel, Conveyors and Irrigation System, Jordan. Design review, tender documents and construction supervision for a conveyance and distribution diversion scheme covering headworks at Mujib Ghors and consisting of a concrete weir (7 m high and 20 m long), and a conveyance system (118 km) to serve municipal, industrial and agricultural areas, and an irrigation area of 970 ha between Aqaba and the Dead Sea, and 8 water tanks.
