Provide support to the project by maintaining a visible presence to the field performing site visits to the entire project at least once per shift, if possible coordinate with the project manager.
Review and Apply Risk Assessment submitted by sub-contractors in site to ensure compliance.
Assist in the coaching, monitoring and implementation of the HSE programs in the field.
Apply simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) to ensure well awareness and coordination with all sub-contractors.
Regularly audit for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions.
Organize and schedule required safety staff and first aid coverage.
Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately.
Participate and assist the supervisors, foreman and safety advisors in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
Ensure injured workers are offered modified duties and documentation has been completed.
Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field.
Ensure all equipments are inspected according to company criteria.
Ensure Safety Advisors are conducting field staff training and tool box talk.
Review safety obligations of the clients and ensure they are carried out as per the terms of the agreement, and communicated to the Project Manager, Supervisors, Foreman and Safety Advisors.
Ensure new hires are inducted to the Construction, and all required documentation is completed accurately and forwarded to the head office.
Ensure safety boards with postings including but not limited to: Health and safety policy, inspection and audit results, project hazard assessment, location of first aid, etc. are maintained and available.
Coordinate a regular meeting with project safety team and sub-contractors to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events.
Other duties as required.
Supports the Top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects.
Supports the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
Conducts safety audits both internal and external.
Takes part in accident / incident investigation.
Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
Carries out any in-house safety training.
Carries out safety audits on Sub-contractors.
Liaises between Clients on safety related issues.
Safeties related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
Participates to HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
Performs Risk Assessment.
Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders.
Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.
Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
Gemba walk to improve the EHS system.
Conduct daily and monthly HSE Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.
Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation.
Assist in emergency response and facility evacuation plan.
Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
Follow Fall Protection program, inspect all fall protection equipment and maintain inspection records.
Prepare applicable EHS reports as necessary.
Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility management.
Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training
Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
Perform other work related tasks as required as assigned.
Apply HSE management systems and programs integrated with OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 & line with the local law & corporate HSE policies and directions.
Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
Organize and maintain internal safety training and Induction programs suitable to accommodate all of the company HSE training requirement.
Carrying out on job risk assessment to assist all management levels to work proactively to the elimination of hazards and risks as well as unsafe working practices in the workplace.
Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
Participating in incident investigations, root cause identification, recommended corrective action implemented.
Achieve and maintain an HSE awareness and communication program sufficient in order to continuously improve the workplace HSE culture.
Establish procedures for evaluating safety and health hazards associated with new processes, equipment, or materials, and recommend methods to control hazards.
