My advanced practical experience, knowledge and education are essential to the proper performance of these tasks, as the tasks are often complex and the improper implementation of the tasks can lead to significant setbacks to a hatchery and research organization. These tasks include but are not limited to one or more of the following:
(1) Management, research and development of hatchery systems and certain grow out operations with a recirculating aquaculture system for growing fish,
(2) Collecting and recording growth, production and environmental data,
(3) Collecting information regarding techniques for fish collection and fertilization, spawn incubation, and treatment of spawn and fry,
(4) Conducting and supervising stock examinations in order to identify diseases or parasites, (5) conferring with biologists, fish pathologists, and other fishery personnel to obtain data concerning fish habits, diseases, food, and environmental requirements,
(6) Coordinating the selection and maintenance of brood stock,
(7) Using fish culturing techniques,
(8) Organizing and participating activities to improve fish hatching and growth rates and to prevent disease in hatcheries,
(9) managing and monitoring the transfer of mature fish to lakes, ponds, streams or commercial tanks, the trapping and spawning of fish, egg incubation, and fry rearing, and the number and type of fish reared or harvested, as well as applying the knowledge of management and fish culturing techniques to these processes,
(10) Growing fish and shellfish as cash crops,
(11) Monitoring environments to ensure maintenance of optimum conditions of aquatic life, (12) conducting research on work related topics, and (13) preparing reports.
