Being Director Finance & Accounts, I'm responsible for overall financial and accounting operations, including but not limited to, bookkeeping, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, financial planning, system development, ERP development, etc.
Being Company Secretary, I'm responsible for overall corporate compliance as per SECP regulations.
Remained CFO / Head HR & OD at IPS and was heading the Finance, Accounts, Investment, HR and Organization development functions.
Meezab Group is a diversified group engaged in Hajj and Umrah Services, Ticketing, Trading and Manufacturing of Aluminum products. It has offices at Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Jeddah, Makkah and Madina. Being CFO of Meezab KSA, I’m responsible for total financial management and financial system development of various units of the group.
Achievement at Meezab Group
• Single entry system converted into proper double entry system at all units of group.
• Proper Reporting system on daily basis introduced and implemented.
• Professional assistance given for the development of an Online real time Web based Software for handing of PAX movements, hotel reservation, submission of passports to embassy and finally its financial impact to be properly recorded.
• Performance criteria defined and implemented for annual appraisal of employees
AFAQ is a NPO, established u/s 42 of Companies Ordinance, 1984 of Pakistan and working in the field of Education and Textbooks Publishing. I served here as General Manager Finance & Accounts and also held the position of Company Secretary. My duties include:
• Financial System Analysis & Design
• Arrangement of finances under Islamic modes of financing
• Supply chain management (Warehouse, Sale and Distribution, logistics)
• Financing, leasing, Import and export matters of the company
• Preparation of financial statements
• Financial and management reporting
• Compliance of tax and corporate laws and regulations
• Pricing of new products, Costing of orders and Budgeting
• Management of company’s Cash flow
• Policies and procedures (SOP’s) development for various departments
• Arrangement of Board meetings, minutes drafting and ensure compliance of BOD decisions
• Supervision of all financial and Accounting operations of the company
Achievements at AFAQ:
1. Controlled the Cost of goods sold and reduced it from 65% to 48%.
2. Designed and got developed a complete MIS for the company comprising of GL, Assets Management, Budgeting, Payroll, Procurement, Inventory and Sales
3. Designed and implemented a complete new system (SOP & control tools) for publishing department.
4. Prepared Receivable Analysis and recoveries made from defaulters.
5. Designed a system, documents and policy of Interst Free Ijara Scheme for AFAQ employees to obtain car and vehicle loans from the company.
6. Proposed and got designed an online web based Budget and Requisition Module to reduce the delays in cash remittance and voucher submission from different parts of the country.
7. Designed an Investment proposal under Islamic modes of finances and mobilized resources for AFAQ from private investors.
8. Implemented effective budgeting and effective cost controlling.
9. Developed Accounting Manual for Olympia Model School (a client of AFAQ)
10. Designed a system for performance management of employees.
11. Incorporated a Guarantee Ltd company and complied with legal formalities
Ramay Textile is a composite vertical Knitwear Unit and engaged in the export of quality garments to USA and Europe. Being Manager Accounts, my duties were mainly supervision of accounts and stores departments and comprised of following:
Checking of daily vouchers & their verification
Preparation of Financial statements
Preparation of monthly budgets
Salary calculations, deductions, preparation of salary sheets and disbursements
Tax calculations, deductions and preparation of monthly and annual statements
Procurement management and payment to parties
Invoicing to corporate sector
Control of goods in and out and ensure availability of stock items,
Implementation of an effective internal control and reporting system
Achievements at Ramay Textile:
1. Converted Partnership firm into limited company.
2. Designed and introduced complete system for gate passes and store documents and improved the internal controls of the company.
3. Developed complete system from scratch for HR and Admin matters of the company.
4. Got designed new software in SQL containing Financial, Purchase, Inventory and HR Module.
5. Streamlined the Income Tax record of the company and Wealth Tax record of directors.
6. Removed pilferages and introduced and implemented a sound system for wages payments.
7. Managed the company purchases on credit and removed the lacunas in system.
8. Streamlined whole accounting system and improved internal reporting system.
