Maintaining and troubleshooting Backup Recovery media services.
Managing 3rd party applications interface.
Performance tuning - Problem determination and resolution of OS400 related problems.
Install and configure OS 400 software.
Install PTFs as and when required.
Recommending data purge, archive, & acquisition/reduction of hardware.
Creation and management of group profile and User profile.
Setting up resource security as per requirements.
Managing jobs on the system and monitoring system utilization.
Submitting batch jobs. Backup and Restoration jobs including system backup Using BRMS.
Managing spool files.
Managing journals & receivers.
Writing CL programs as and when required to customize the system.
Problem handling related to save & restore operation, LTO, user profile.
Subsystem creation and managing them.
Monitoring Day to day system status like Disk status, memory status etc.
Startup and shutdown and maintenance of Database and
Monitoring the network status.
Coordinating with vendors for software, hardware and
Network related issues as and when required and ensure the successful completion of the job.
Maintaining database integrity with all branches and providing technical support as and when required.
Supporting all inventory related issues and providing internal reports at the end of each month and as and when required.
