• Monitoring the various events of the substation in SCADA system
• Daily checking in the transformer yard, switchgear room, GIS room, battery room for any abnormality.
• Assist the System control section in their switching operation form remote end
• Perform making and breaking operations in various circuit breakers if system control section demands to do so • Checking the operation of cooling fan, tap changer and other transformer accessories
• Providing safety measures for all employees and trades men to ensure a safe working environment
• Experienced with the switching operations of circuit breakers in various voltage levels
• Experienced with GIS (Gas Insulated Switch gear) in various high voltage level
• Experienced with different types of relays & protection equipment
(February 2005 to June 2010) - 5 year 4 months
• Responsibilities of operation, control and maintenance of substation in daily shifts
• Emergency and routine maintenance works carried out on the indoor switchgears and yard equipments like 110/11 KV 12.5 MVA Power Transformers, Control panels, Circuit breakers (VCB), Protective relays, Isolators etc.
• Hourly monitoring the meters for feeder's load, voltage, consumption, measurement of transformers winding temperature and oil temperature
• Carried out Switching on HV & LV
• Checking the performance of station battery by measuring the specific gravity and cell Voltage.
• Conducting the routine maintenance of 11kV feeder equipments like Vaccum operated circuit Breaker, CTs&PTs.
Circuit Breakers:
• Checking of SF6 gas and air pressure for the compressor type.
• Checking of the tripping and Closing coils and its connection.
• Checking out the operation of the Breaker
Transformer: • . Winding temperature and oil temperature checking in every hour.
• Checking of leakages and oil level.
• Cheching of the operation of the cooling fans.
• Insulation resistance measuring using megger.
• Air bubble releasing of Buchholz relay and its operation.
• Checking of Driving mechanisam and oil sample collection for BDV testing.
