• Played a key role in managing the complete Design and Installation of Mechanical Systems (HVAC & Fire fighting Systems) for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
• Review of Complete Mechanical Design Packages (HVAC & Firefighting Systems) as per Applicable Codes & Standards and Preparing Comments Log.
• Design and Installation of HVAC System to provide comfortable, productive and healthy indoor conditions in accordance with the guidelines, recommendations and requirements of the International Mechanical Code (IMC), Royal Commission (RC), Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and ASHRAE codes & standards.
• Develop and prepare a comprehensive Design Basis Report (DBR) that is utilized as the basis for all the subsequent detailed engineering and design activities to follow as well as for the further expansion of the project.
• Conducting Site surveys to gather & accumulate Project Data, coordinating with Architects, Electrical, Structural, Piping Engineers & Contractors, Answering Technical Queries, etc.
• Expertise in managing complete Heat Load Calculation using Elite/HAP Software’s.
• Duct system design, supervision, duct fabrication and installation of the ductwork following SMACNA, DW 144 codes.
• Experienced in preparing drawings i.e. Single line diagrams, Shop Drawings, HVAC & Fire Layouts, Ducting & Piping Layouts, Equipment Layout, Equipment Schedules, Sections & Details, Airflow & Control Diagrams, Sequence of operations, etc.
• Make selection of HVAC Equipment's like PACU's, FCU’s, AHU’s, CHILLERS etc. on the basis of Heat Load calculations from respective models like Zamil, York, Trane and Carrier using software’s & catalogues.
• Selection of exhaust fans, Louvers, electric heaters, air devices, fire & smoke dampers, volume damper, sound attenuators, Chiller pumps & Accessories, Chiller Piping & valve Accessories, etc. using software’s & catalogues.
• Performing Duct static pressure & Hydraulic calculations, selection of fans and pumps based on the calculations performed.
• Efficiently handled the preparation of project documents scope of work for contractors, project specifications, drawing control, functional specification manual, design manuals, material take off & bill of quantities.
• Design and Installation of Fire Suppression Systems for fire prevention of life safety and fire protection of property of the building in accordance with International Building Code (IBC) & various NFPA Codes & Standards.
• Perform Fire Code Analysis for the building by following International Building Code (IBC) & various NFPA Codes & Standards and selecting the appropriate fire suppression system for the building based on the performed fire code analysis and end user requirements.
• Sizing pipes for Fire Suppression System and make selection of fire pumps (Jockey, Electrical & Diesel).
• Hydraulic Calculations of Fire Suppression System using Fire Elite Software.
• Posses’ knowledge of Design of plumbing Systems, LEED concepts, Green buildings & Environment in designing utilities.
• Site supervision of all Air Conditioning & Fire Fighting works.
• Ensure that safety rules and regulation are communicated to the work force and are fully enforced.
• Involved in Installation, Testing, Pre commissioning, Commissioning and operation of HVAC & Fire Fighting Systems, comprising of Packaged units, Air handling units, Chillers, Pumps, Piping, Building management system etc.
• Delivering projects within deadlines & given time frame consistently under pressure to enhance customer satisfaction.
Study of the building plan and making Cooling Load Calculations.
Duct Designing (Manually and using software) and Ducting Layouts.
Selection of AHU and FCU, FAN and Machine Selection.
Single line diagrams, shop drawing and sectional views, Site supervision of all works.
Calculation for pump head and selection of pumps.
Ensure that all HVAC site activities are conducted under controlled conditions as per shop drawings, specification and work plan.
Maintaining records and archives to company standards.
Responsible for Preparation of Bill of Quantity for Projects.
Following the project specifications and requirements along with standard procedures.
Preparing “DBR “Design Basis Report of given Project.
Preparing Drawings layouts of HVAC and Fire suppression Systems.
Heat load calculations using Elite and HAP (Hourly Analysis Programme).
Hydraulic Calculations of Fire Suppression Using Fire Elite Software.
Preparing Standard Detail Drawings used in Installation at site for Hvac and Fire Suppression system.
Material Take Off (MTO).
Coordination with Other disciplines.
