Assist on financial business support issues and inform the decision making process
Interface with other key shared service providers such as HR, Procurement, and Support Services (such as IT and Finance) in order to identify issues, and potential resolutions, and opportunities related to the area of support.
Assist the Senior FBP (SFBP) in conducting the initiation and review of Annual Budget Setting and Budget Carry Over exercise. Interface and interact with HR for workforce planning and Strategic Planning Directorate (SPD) for business planning to ensure a seamless end to end planning process.
Analyse variances, gather feedback and explore potential options from focal points, budget holders and relevant management, and make appropriate recommendations and advise of potential impact on the business as point of actions during monthly financial performance review meetings.
Conduct the quarterly financial forecasting process in order to highlight potential risks and improve the planning process.
Assist with month end and year end closing in collaboration with the General Ledger (GL) team including review and management of Income & Expense Report including accruals and prepayments, and debtor/creditor review.
Process budget transfer requests for various purposes such as budget supplementary and surrender, budget and carry over alignment, and budget rephasing.
Provide technical training and coaching to Qatari Trainees and Employees in order to develop in them the requisite skills and aptitude of a FBP.
Perform such other tasks or duties which may, from time to time, be assigned inclusive of (but not limited to) acting as stand in for other team members during periods of absence.

• Reviewed monthly reconciliations and ensured adjustments were properly booked.
• Prepared monthly profit and loss statement.

Supervised the audit and review of local companies from different industries. Below are the detailed responsibilities:
• Provided input to, and worked closely with, engagement manager in planning and scheduling work to be done on engagements, including the preparation of the time budgets and staffing requirements and arranging meeting with clients.
• Developed an audit plan and tailored audit programs, which includes understanding the client’s business and identifying risks affecting the client.
• Ensured proper and efficient execution of the engagement in accordance with the Firm’s quality standards.
• Assigned specific responsibilities to the staff assistants based on the latter’s experience and capabilities.
• Implemented thorough review of working papers, financial statements, and management letters in preparation for the review of the engagement manager and partner.
• Ensured that the planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy the Firm’s audit objectives and support the report and ensured that the Firm’s work paper standards have been complied with.
• Performed final quality review on the deliverables of other engagement teams when requested.
• Provided immediate assistance and advice for the professional needs of the clients.
