Working as qc inspector for their Bapco shutdown project . involved vessel and column inspection
• Carrying out inspections such as fit up, final visual inspection during prefabrication, assembly and erection stages with class and client.
• Establishment of Preliminary WPS, PQR, WQT to suite Project requirements.
• Qualifying of welders as per project requirements. Monitoring of welding activities, heat treatment, and pre-heat.
• Conducting daily tool box meeting.
• Monitored welder performance and suggested corrective action.
• Knowledge about the receiving, handling and storage of piping material.
• Knowledge in studying isometric and fabrication drawing.
• Verification of inward raw materials, prefabricated materials & welding /Field joint coating materials.
• Implementation of welding parameters check as per approved procedure specifications on production welds.
• Monitoring welding is done as per WPS.
• Verify storage oven and electrode baking.
• Verify welding machine and calibrations.
• Witness & review the mechanical destructive tests. Compile mill certificates, destructive, non-destructive test reports for new PQR.
• Checking, storage & conditioning of Electrodes as per project requirement.
• Preparation documents for billing and Reconciliation Purposes
• Preparation of welding inspections reports.
• Review of NDT inspection reports and RT films
• Reviewing of material certificates as per project/client
• Preparation of weld history, parameter records and dimensional reports.
• Co-ordination with client and company inspectors
• Witness of non-destructive examination, pre & post weld heat treatment activities for element as per the project quality plan & code requirement.
• Witness of hydro-test, air leak test and valves test.
• Prepare a hydro-test package & final project documents.
• Insure Field verifies all elevation & dimension prior to the fabrication and installation.
• Inspections of mainline, repairs, tie-in golden welds and make the inspection reports.
• Line checking, punch listing and cleaning.
